i found a coin. it isn't worth anything in money value becaue it does not have any money symbols or number on it. on the front it has a eagle with a banner saying in god we trust. all around the eagle is has bible versus- exodus 15:26/ john 14:6/ malachi 3:10/ isaiah 40:31. if you flip it over it says who ever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved- romans 10:13 in big letters. this side also has bible verses on it saying- job 29:12/ deut 5:7/ isaiah 53:5.
where the little tiny letters saying where it was made says HM. can anyone tell me how these bible verses correspond with each other. also where can i get one. i am not interested in selling it but how much would it sell for.

I saw a Bill O Reilly segment on it, and I missed it. =[
So I was wondering, does PofC 2 (Dead Man's Chest) have hidden Christian meaning? Like Davey Jones Satan and taking in souls and what not. I'm a Christian. Would like to know. thank you!

The bible says "you have not because you ask not". And your prayers will be answered if you have even a little faith. What would you ask of the God of the universe?

Didn't God say you should not get pierced? Maybe the ear but other than that isn't it a sin?

Does anyone see that the verse that talks about non-believers loving their sin so much they don't want to change coming true? I do.

Pray that you will understand the world that we live in and become a part of socity instead of trying to fix the problems with prayer.

I've been checking out the Veda's the bhagavad gita, the upanishad, the koran, nueroscience, physics, anatomy, chemistry, biology, acoustics, astronomy, computer programming, self-help books, hemi-sync, modern technology, various musicians, several poets, numerous novelists...and actually understand alot more about my spirituality than the bible could do alone. Of course I read it, but it is a sin not to explore further.
It would be like saying the rest of the world is foolish for having different beliefs. People know what personal testimonies of love, truth, and surrendering to a higher power is.
This is not a serving 2 different master's opinion.
Can you answer the top question and be able to justify it with proof? jesus and god want you to learn about this magnificent and wonderful world.
They want you to see this place as heaven already.
Would you know heaven if you even saw it. or was inhabiting it.
jesus saw this as heaven, why won't you

Is there a series of standards that new believers or converts can follow that helps them to decide whether or not he/she should engage in a questionable activity (e.g., smoke, drink, dance, etc,)?

Give me a short and snappy argument selling me your religion (or lack there-of) or another religion you think may interest me. Give me some of the benefits and tell me something obscure about it.

The best argument gets the best answer.

Use quotes if you like. Be political if you want. I will consider any religion - Voodoo, Zoroastrianism, Asgardian paganism, maybe even crazy old Scientology.

Note - I already follow a religion and have no real doubts about my faith so chances are you won't actually convert me. But with 10 points for the best attempt have a go anyway!

Since there is NO IRREFUTABLE PROOF of it whatsoever, isn’t it the stupidest thing to fool schoolkids with such a bamboozle? Is this one more reason Americans tend to do so lousy in other subjects, like geography or foreign languages?

I read a letter to an advice colomn about an Athiest couple that got married by a justice of the peace. However, the groom's parents were extreemly religious Christians and refused to acknowlage their marrage because they didn't have a church service or get married by a priest. At family gatherings, they still referred to his wife as "Our son's girlfriend," and wouldn't let the couple sleep in the same room with eachother when staying at the parents' house over night.

Is this a common thing? If you're a Christian, would you treat your children like this is they didn't get married by a priest?

Clearly DVD is superior than dead-tree bound together. If God wanted, he could gives us all DVD players and the 'WORD DVD'. This would be far superior and we wouldnt have as bad a problem with well-intentioned dim-wits using creative interpretation of these books to serve their own agenda.

Language barriers are also a total joke when it comes to books.

FIRST, God can do anything, so, he could have surely released his bestseller simulateously in all the languages of the world. Could he not? This is no small issue because, for example, most muslims believe you cant even understand Allah's word unless you learn arabic, the preferred magic God-language.

Christians are not so legalistic here but still, if the bible were released in all languages, we wouldnt have anywhere near the disagreement we do now...right?

Look, there is simply no denying that the medium of 'book' totally sucks...period.

Some people claim the bible (Old Testament) prophesied Jesus.

If that is true, why was "Christianity" (as we know it) invented by a pagan Roman Emperor in the 4th Century?

Why didn't Hebrews recognize their own prophecies?

And, if they couldn't, what makes you assume you or anyone else can?

Imagine God burying a fossil in the ground.

God: "Lets see who believes in me now! Man am I a prankster! I am the prankster god! Sheesh I kill myself!"

I have some very hard and complicated and delicate issues to deal with and I want to do them right and do God's Will. I was advised to seek a spiritual director. I am Christian and I know there are some in the Catholic Church. What do you consider is a spiritual director?

Can you give me some ideas what to look for in a real Christian spiritual counselor and what to possibly expect. I am praying for directions.
