If you are looking for answers that make sense in the bible - you are looking in the wrong place. Why doesn't it make sense - because the lord works in mysterious ways. At least that is what every "believer" will tell you.
Here, you want a passage. Try this one on for size.
If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbour, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death. The man who lies with his father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall be put to death; their blood is upon them. If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall be put to death; they have committed perversion; their blood is upon them. If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death; their blood is upon them. [Leviticus, chapter 20]
Makes perfect sense to me.

There are references to God, God the Father, the Son, the spirit of God, in several places. Though no where is the 'trinity' specifically spelled out, all these references did cause a lot of confusion and discussion in the early church. Their understanding of this is how the concept of the trinity emerged.
In, in genesis, when God spoke, that "word of god" people often equate to the beginning of the Gospel of John, where Jesus is the word. So, God (Father), spirit, and Word (son) they say were all references in that Genesis text.

God the Father and God the Spirit both refer to the same entity, namely God. They are but different "forms" of God, if you can say it like that. The third one is God the Son, which is Jesus Christ. They are three, but still one, the Holy Trinity.

In Christianity, this is referred to as the Trinity: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. The word "Trinity" is never mentioned in the Bible, but is taught and implied throughout.
Gen 1 also says "and God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness."
In Greek this form of "God" is plural (three or more). Does this help? Yes, it is beyond our comprehension, but that's why he is God, and we are the creation.

The godFOOT can belong to the Godhead.
There are probably 100,000 names for God in all the holy books. Many of them refer to an attribute of God "Most Merciful", "Allmighty", "Creator of Heaven and Earth", "Our Father", etc.
Aren't these all different ASPECTS of the same being?
Why can't one aspect of God have created another. . .and that second aspect have created the universe?
Is this out of the capabilities of the "All Poweful"?
Just a thought.
