It makes absolutely no sense. Trying to prove the nonexistance of something outside the realm of our understanding through emperical evidence is extremely illogical. Not to mention, science is an evolution of finding things have already existed, point being that just because we THINK we've found something to be true, doesn't mean that we've found ALL that is true, nor that what we think we've found is correct. Time after time after time we hear of scientific theories changing and how we were wrong on this and that, so how can we be so sure that we have CORRECT information, let alone ALL the information (which will never happen unless a higher source reveals all to us).
If anything, the very fact that we cannot even understand our own surroundings to the slightest degree (we think we do, but really, we will keep learning things for eternity about our surroundings so long as man exists), should lead us to believe that a higher being/something does exist.
