Why of course Jesus was a philosopher, the best book for that is the Bible, tons of philosophy to live by.. you can't go wrong reading it.. And their are many different philosopher's in their as well, but Jesus was the most profound one, and he got it from suffering and therefore could teach us all many lessons..

I don't think so. If you truly study His teaching in context you'll see that it makes no sense outside of the belief that God is real and supreme, and that Jesus is everything He said He was. Apart from that context, very little of what He said makes any sense and in fact goes against practical application to life.

If someone ever finds information about him that isn't tightly coupled to myth and legends, then we might know.

Interestingly, the Roman records from the period surrounding his purported crucifixion are missing, even though the records from before and after still exist. Who had access to those records and a possible motive to destroy them?

...maybe he never existed.

No. He was beyond philosophy. When he was talking to Nicodemus, He was approaching him according to the philosophies of the world. When He used the words "born again" , it was the only mention of those words in the Bible.
