Many atheists complain about us being to strict and our moral code being something that is more hammering them and the saved than a blessing. The scriptures are not the problem. They are perfect. Its how we interpret them. For instance, I think there is such a legalistic thing put on girls. Its such a big deal when guys look at girls or lust that it makes them obsessive. Many times I think we make girls such a sin that it makes some chiristian men turn gay.I recently read of a well known minister who had a gay affair. Hes OK now but he was so obsessed about " not lusting ".that he went the other way Girls are cool. We are here to pretty up the planet and its ok to think we are pretty. Our Lord Jesus can help christian men love and enjoy being around us and also have a pure mind at the same time. Its when you make all these huge rules about conduct that it gets crazy. We should just relax..pray and adore the Lord..and trust Him to keep us all clean. Why preach on and on about lust ?

If you really believe in evil spirits, it must get pretty scary in the dark for you sometimes. Lucky for me that I don't believe in life after death.

Why not mention things specifically like lebanon and the world trade center? Or just say that nuclear weapons will be involved? If it did it would be easier for everyone to understand and accept.

I live in somewhat of a not so nice place, I wont lie, the rent is what I can afford and it aint the Ritz...

Anyway...my neighbors girlfriend got pregnant...only they haven’t had sex at all...and he actually believes her...

Um I realize this happened in the bible...but what exactly should I tell him here now, because he’s obviously not going to figure this out on his own.

Why do muslim extremists not like women?
Why are women and children treated as less of human beings? Why are women in Iraq afraid to drive their car alone for fear they will be attacked. Why force women to wear a burka? I do not understand, I know Allah loves women, right? Help me to understand...

Duh - even David Koresh has HIS followers. Today my husband & I were walking downtown and were approached by some Mormons talking about him. I've never HEARD of them getting in your face that way, but soon this car pulled up and talked to them. I heard part of the converstaion 'that's antoher Bible' or somthing to that effect, and the ppl in the car gave the guys some tracts and they guys left. Didn't want to talk to us anymore. Maybe becuase we KNOW the truth of the Bible?

It says in the Bible that Jewish people of Israel are God's chosen people, or something like that, yet they don't believe in Jesus. I have always heard this and read it somewhere also.

I'm not talking about Accepting "Jaysus"(that's what the TV evangelists call him LOL) as a savior, I just think he was a caring man and when he said that he will live forever he was talking about his legacy.

I heard that he was black, brown or white. Someone as famous as Jesus surely would have been accurately described. When I took a tour of the Morman grounds just about everybody was white in the portraits of people from the middle-east at the time of Christ. Is it just me being skeptical?

What do you think about this stament made by C.S. Lewis?

I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: "I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God." That is the one thing we must not say. A man who said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic--on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg--or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.

As a Catholic, it certainly didn't dent my faith, it only served to reinforce it. What a load of rubbish. Brown certainly hasn't done his homework and the book is an insult to intelligent people.

Why are people so slow to understand that there is more than one form of Catholicism - the Roman Catholics do not have a monopoly on that word - and that the very word "catholic" comes from a Greek word that means "universal"?

Does anyone know any of this??

I mean, seriously, it's a mythology, not real, no end of times judgement day, no Noah's Ark, no Moses parting the sea, it's all some good imagination of a good writer for the time, but 'absolutely true'....yea, maybe if you're on acid and shrooms at the same time ( i am )
