Talk to the priest at your church. Ask your mom if you were baptised as a baby (most catholics are). If so, you're good to go with that, but you still need catechism (hence the priest).
Keep in mind that catholicism (like Lutherans and some others) don't accept baptisms done outside of catholic churches.

I'm not Catholic, but a Southern Baptist who was raised in the Methodist denomination. Do you reside with both your parents? Do you not attend services with your mother? If she is Catholic, she should be able to answer these questions for you regarding adolescent/adult baptism. In Protestant denominations, one can be baptized at any age (in fact, many - including the SBC - prefer that you be older and sure of your calling). However, do not fret. Baptism is a public announcement that you have accepted Christ and His teachings. It is not necessarily required of you to enter Heaven. God will understand your circumstances.

I found this info particularly interesting: "At a baptism, in most cases, a priest or deacon baptizes the baby, child, or adult. In certain circumstances, however, anyone Catholic has the permission to baptize someone when a priest or deacon isn’t available. The person has to be in danger and their life is slipping away."

If you live in the south, there's Churches like every 2 blocks, you should find one, and explain your situation to them. They can help you get baptised or recommend another Church. But just dont tell your dad, if you're really commited to getting baptised, until after. maybe like 2 yrs after.lol

Well, your faith does not and should not depend on someone other than yourself. Your faith is your personal covenant with God.

The best way for you to get more information about "Adult Baptism" is to go to your local Catholic Priest. But here are some answers, you will be asked to take Cathechism classes (these classes are about the History, Teaching, Beliefs, Traditions, and Basic precepts of the Church) included also is for you to learn basic prayers (Apostles Creed, Our Father, etc.), other than that, it will just be your own faith guiding you.

I pray this helps and know that I shall be praying for you and your family.

If you are interested in joining or just learning more about the Catholic Church, contact your local parish and ask about information about their RCIA Inquiry group for teens.

You can go and ask any questions you want.

This is the first step in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) but you can stop at any time.

There is no obligation to become a Catholic.

With love and prayers in Christ.

Well screw your dad!!! You go ahead and get baptized Jesus would want you to. Its a very good thing to get saved. As long as you belong to a Christian religion it doesnt matter which religion you get baptized under. Sorry Im not Catholic I just wanted to tell you to do the right thing and get baptized inspite of what your dad says.

be careful, you are on dangerous ground. If you live with your dad-just wait til you are old enough to move out. don't start a fight over this. its just not that important. God knows your heart. He will wait for you. Following authority is more important here that anything else. Even if you die, God already knows you. baptism is worthless-dont let it put you into a bad place with your dad until you are an adult.

just remember that baptism its self does not save you it is just a symbol of your acceptance to Jesus Christ! don't get so hung up on it the fact that you love and believe in Jesus has already got you into heaven!

You may need to wait until you're old enough to go out on your own.

Either that, or write your dad a nice letter asking for his permission. Mail it to him. See what he says.
