Science has given us a realistic creation story, but Christians will not accept it. They will accept brain surgery, MP3 players, and flu-shots, but not the cosmological implications. Whassup with that?

With the events happening in Isreal and how the world is reacting (everyone has turned their backs on Isreal, even the US), what do you all think of the coming peace talks in Rome? 10 major power countries are reported to be meeting together for peace talks and a coalition to simultaneously enforce whatever agreement is made.

This for Christians goes right along with Daniel 7 and Revelations, on happenings right before rapture and the build up of things for the antichrist.

What is your take on this?

The slave traders in Africa were all muslims who sold the blacks to the new world, so why do blacks then follow their religion? Blacks instead take it out on the caucasion race whenever they have the time to discuss it. Why not blame the muslims who rounded them up in the first place and sold them out of Africa?

In no part of the bible does Jesus condemn homosexuality. So much for ""christianity"" being the teachings of jesus. Also when judas kissed jesus there was no acount of jesus backing away so he must have been accustomed to that sort of thing.

I feel that there is something bad inside me, a darkness, a sinfulness that makes me a bad person. No-one else seems to see it, they just see the surface where I look like a good person, but I know I'm not, not really. I don't deserve for anything good to happen to me, I deserve to be punished. I self harm, I feel like when the blood comes out it takes some of the badness away, and if I do it enough maybe one day I'll feel like I'm an ok person.

I used to believe in God and I became a Christian when I was 14 (I'm 24 now) but over the past couple of years I feel like I'm not good enough for God to love me anymore. I still believe in God, and I believe that He will forgive people, even if they do terrible things - but I can't seem to accept that forgiveness for myself and I haven't even done anything particularly bad. How can I accept His forgiveness again like I used to?

Muslims say that their religion is the most tolerant, peaceful, scientific, respectful of women, modern, and lots of other things. However, reality compels me to think otherwise. I find Muslims, generally, are intolerant, violent, illogical, male chauvinistic, and medieval. Perhaps, to prove their claim, they should follow their holy book earnestly. Am I right?

Didn't a lot of people in those days attribute their work to known people who would be perceived as having authority in order to gain support for their work?

And are not most of the Gospel authors actually anonymous--the traditional names were given to the books later?

And I'm talking about the human authors only--unless you want to claim 'God' wrote it all without human intervention.

Homosexuals help each other get through the turmoils of life and share joys in the same way wives and husbands do. Pedophiles destroy the lives of the child they molest. I am really curious. I mean maybe the rest of us do not want to watch the planet die or be worn torn or all that. Is it that important to fulfill…now. Is your faith that shaky that you need proof and this is how it will come…help me out here. You can’t wait?

Like myself, most Christians I know are pretty laid back people who understand they are not perfect, try their best to do what they can for others, and always fall short of the worlds expectations of them as Christians?

Why does it feel like we are constantly under attack from non-Christian people for the worlds problems when it is not necessarily us who go out and create them? Remember, Satan brought sin into the world, not Christians. If you want to attack someone, attack those followers of Satan, not the followers of Christ who would like to see the world not have so mane issues.

Why such a hard time people?

There are certain verses some people feel that ban women from holding positions in the church, but that is not true.

"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law" (1 Corinthians 14:34).

"Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence" (1 Timothy 2:11-12).

Now here is the interpretation of these verses:
In these verses, Paul is not addressing women who were in the ministry, but rather those in the congregation who were out of order. There are so many proofs, many from Paul himself. Here is a partial list of women who were all in influential positions of leadership in the early church.

This one is for you Christian Pro-Lifers; What's so wrong with abortion if you believe in an afterlife?

If a child is aborted as an embryo and this truely is a life, wouldn't it be a purely innocent life? It wouldn't even have entered the world, wouldn't have to experience pain, and most importantly would not have the opportunity to sin. If your God is truly just and loving why would he apply original sin to a being who hasn't even had one concious thought? This could extend to cover embryos used for stem cells.
