I am really curious. I mean maybe the rest of us do not want to watch the planet die or be worn torn or all that. Is it that important to fulfill…now. Is your faith that shaky that you need proof and this is how it will come…help me out here. You can’t wait?
If you are a good follower why do you not get your own self to Heaven…..it is not that hard.

I think its because a lot of christians think they'll be raptured away before it gets bad. They're just thinking of themselves, looking for the easy way out. I've done extensive study on end times, and I think these christians haven't actually read the bible. If they had, they'd realize that the rapture won't happen until after the tribulation, right before the final wrath. They'll suffer right along with everyone else. Who, exactly, do they think will be getting their heads lopped off if all christians are suddenly raptured away? It's simply wishful thinking. Christ said He'd be with us till the end, He never said we wouldn't suffer. He didn't save any of His diciples from suffering, they all died pretty nasty, painful deaths, and we are most certainly no more deserving than they were.

So, as a christian, I'll tell you, I'm not in the least looking forward to it. Wish it wouldn't happen till I die of old age, but don't think I'll get that easy way out.

christians are just interpreting the sign of the times as a warning that the end times will soon arrive. Because of all the trials and tribulations predicted, it is something of great concern. So, the people that worry about Armageddon simply believe that, assuming they are supposed to die of natural causes, the event will occur within their lifetime. It really isn't a big deal, and most Christians don't really make a huge fuss over it. It's not like you see a million Christians converging on Washington or anything like that.

I am a born-again Christian, and do not share your premise.

Before armageddon, there is the rapture of believers, and seven years of tribulation. Following this, the wrath of God is poured on the world for their faithlessness.

To be raptured and meet the Lord Jesus in the air will be amazing. It is God removing His children from harm's way. Despite being in a much better place than earth, I still do not wish calamity on anyone. Calamity is brought upon the people by their own choice.

There is not one person that I know that wants Armageddon to arrive anytime soon. Why is that? Because there are so many persons that have not yet come to understand the implications of John 17:3 "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ"

When answering his deciples about the signs of the end of the system of things, Jesus said at Matthew 24:14 "And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come."

As long as there are people to preach to "of the good news of the kingdom" then I know of no one including God that would want to bring an end to this current system of things.

Anyone can claim to be a christian and not really be one, that being said...
Armageddon symbolizes more than just the end of this world but the begining of a new one, hence some do so for that reason.
Others think it sounds cool and the rest, who knows. It will come when it does and we cannot really hurry or delay it... to a point.
I'm in no hurry but these are just my opinions.

Christians are anxiously awaiting for the arrival of Jesus Christ and his legions of angels. This world is just about over. Watch CNN or FOX News report tonight. The entire Middle East is a war zone. Israel, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Lebonon....etc. Disease and Hunger in Africa has tripled since the mid-1980's. Scientists have confirmed that Natural disasters are getting worse each season. Scientists have confirmed that Global warming is now melting Polar and Artic ice. Pollution is killing the Ozone/Atmosphere. Pestilence, Famine, Disease, Warfare, Nuclear War, Threats of Nuclear Aniliation, Murder, Rape, Incest, Police brutality, Troubles within Politics, Robbery, Gang wars, Pedophiles, Online crime -- Internet porn, Bank accounts are being stolen, Personal records of individuals are being stolen. The U.S military is in the Middle East causing total chaos. North Korea is firing missles that are flying 1,100 miles away from U.S soil and that has Japan, England, South Korea and China in a total uproar. Bin Laden and his terror network has the entire world in a panic. Not to mention 9-11-01 was the begininng of the end..... Yes my friends.. We are definetely in the end of days. Believe what you want, but this is it. Pray to God before it's too late.

Aren't you tired of all the pain, suffering, crime, ugliness, hatred and negativity of this present world? If I told you that all these things could be done away with, wouldn't you jump at the chance to experience life without the bad stuff? And what if I told you that you'd live to be at least 1000 years old? Think of your life right now, except with all bad things removed, including death. Doesn't that sound appealing? You'd be lying if you said no.

Christians fervently wish that God would do all these things He has promised. We do not believe God will "kill" the earth; instead, many of us believe those who are Raptured will live with God forever; those who survive the upcoming "Tribulation" and accept Jesus Christ will live to be 1,000; after that, they'll be immortal, but still live on the earth. I know, it sounds far out, BUT ....... if you believed it, wouldn't you want it now?

Because religious people all over the world are so brain washed, feel insecure if there is no one to tell them what to think or do, their not able to cope with real life so they always want to think after death is better. If they would just get on with life and make it better, all of us would benefit from it. I don't think that 99% of people realize when you die your brain cells die and all your memory of life is gone, your smell, vision, feeling, thoughts and what ever are closed history. No one has ever died and came back to report, so get on with it now and make life better..Armageddon, so to speak, happened in the first century, mankind will no doubt destroy most of what we have now, either by disease or war, but there will more than likely be survivors living off the spoils..

You seem to have a good grasp on the fundamentalist agenda in this country. There is a lot of evidence to show that evangelical/fundamentalist Christian leaders are doing their upmost to try and fulfill the "prophesies" in Revelation and usher the second coming. One of their goals has been met.. they have a like-minded ally in the White House now.

Well I don't know too many Christians who are trying to bring Armageddon because we know we cannot bring it only God will bring Armageddon and in his own time. I do know that we would love to have Jesus come any day now because heaven will be much better than now. (although we would hate to have it happen without you being saved)
