Mark of The Beast?

Question

In your opinion what is the Mark of the Beast? Also what is the Seal of God? Bible verses would be nice to back your answer.

Ok the Mark of The Beast is not 666. That is the number of the beast. And it isnt anything physical, like a tattoo, or a bar code, or a micro chip.

Do you think that the Devil is that Dumb to make the Mark something as obvious as a tattoo or a mark on your forehead. The us of forehead and hand is a symbol. remember that Revelation is a prophetic book.

This is easy -- it is when someone openly invokes the name of God for evil. But they cannot invoke the name of Jesus. The name Jesus makes this person cringe.

The "mark of the beast" is first mentioned at Rev. 13:16-17 and reads:

"16 He [the False Prophet] causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."

It is clear that the False Prophet will control commerce with this mark; anyone who refuses to accept the mark will be unable to make any kind of financial transaction: food purchases, sale of property, etc.

Contrary to popular opinion, the mark of the Beast is NOT 666. The Greek text spells out the number, "six hundred sixty six;" anyone, Jew or gentile, with knowledge of Hebrew "gematria" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gematria ) will, in the future, be able to confirm the Beast's identity. The reference in vs. 16 and 17 to suggests that some folks will have a mark that's a symbol and others will have the Beast's name as their mark. This suggests that different symbols will be given to people based on some factor that's unknown to us presently.

The "Seal of God" is actually the seal of the Holy Spirit. Every saved Messianic Jew and Christian receives this seal when we are saved (see Eph. 1:13 and 4:30). It is the very same seal given to the 144,000 Jewish witnesses in Rev. 14:1. This refers to the seal property owners would place on cargo being shipped via boat in ancient times; when the owner or his representative went to claim the property, he or she had to provide an exact copy of the seal or seals present on the cargo. In this way, the property was identified as belonging to a particular person. The Holy Spirit "seals" believers at the time of salvation so we may be identified as belonging to God when He comes to get us (either by the Rapture or after death).

Taken from a friend of mine: The mark of the beast is 666 which is the number of Lucifer in the form of a man. This is found in Revelations 13:18. 18 is 6+6+6 and 13 is the number equivalent to Horus the chief Babylonian god. Revelations says that Babylon will come back. When the anti-christ comes he will brand this numer on the right hand or forhead so his followers to show their alledgance. It wont be laser scan or some high tech method as there is no technology in the end times. It will be a brand, which is significant.

From my understanding it is not a freaky anti christ monster that will brand your forehead with a hot iron with engraved the #s 666,but instead, a one world government power that is to come in a powerful 10 nations organization so, thats pretty big i guess, and nt believers call it a (beast power).
The mark of this beast power will have the power to prevent us from buying goods to sustain life,like food unless we comply with the laws and rules of this new world order.
I guess we will all have a new credit card that inables us to get food and stuff only after we have been approved by the governing Beast.
Revelation 20:7 talks about the mark on the forehead which I believe means our thought process and if we have been brainwashed to accept the new world orders way of thinking and also rejecting Jesus because if we dont the NWO wont give us food and they also will kill us.

Anyway,that is what I have gathered thru many sources.
Plz dont take my opinion as iron clad we are all pretty much in search of answers to numerous questions about God and life etc..
The Seal of God that is a whole other subject that another may be alot more capable of answering.

Well people think these new micro chips coming out are the mark of the beast but i personally don't think so. It says no buyers and sellers and apparently without this chip you can use it to buy stuff.

Applied Digital Solutions, On the Nasdaq: ADSX has made a way to implant microchips under the skin, to keep track of everybody using RFID, It is also used in a cashless society. Here is a picture of somebody getting one in there hand! Notice the scriptures say "IN" the right hand.

The mark of the Beast (according to Revelations) is the number 666 carved into the forehead. I am not quite sure about the seal of God.

You realize there are such factor as loonies available in the market, who suppose they see and listen to matters, that aren't fairly there. There are such a lot of humans who do loopy and silly matters. Why are you blaming christians? Because the Bible explains the mark of the beast? This guy without doubt used to be dwelling in worry, actually HE NEEDS JESUS! What if it had been a few man who reduce off his hand due to the fact he mentioned he noticed a photograph of the stickmoose on it-- might this make him much less loopy? Everyday there's any person available in the market who does whatever outrageous and it makes the headlines. I suppose sorry for those humans. edit: ALSO to people who find themselves talking approximately if this guy real did have the mark, do you become aware of this is not going to take position till the upward push of the anti christ comes into vigor?

What is the mark of the beast? How and when will the mark be given out? Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. The beast is like unto a leopard. He has a yellow tint on the outer skin with black spots and his belly is white. Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
1. We know his mark: A black spot. Jerm 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? Then may ye also do good that are accustomed to do evil. Deut 32:5 They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation. 2. How will the mark be given out? The mark will not be given out until the tribulation period starts and the body of Christ has been caught out. God and the devil will use angel during the tribulation period. There is one example in scripture on how the mark will be applied and this maybe the way used in the tribulation? Ezk 9:3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; Ezk 9:4: And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. Remember that Satan has a counterfeit for everything the Lord God has. God used an angel with writer’s inkhorn to mark his servants on their foreheads. During the tribulation period, Satan will us his angels to do his work. In fact, the kings that are over the nations are angels. Dan 2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. It will be like it was during the days of Noah. Matt 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Satan and all his angels will be cast onto the earth and will never be able to get back into the heavens. Rev 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Remember also, that the battles fought during the tribulation period are fought with men on horse back not with modern warfare machines that we have today. Rev 9:16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. Also, during this time great destruction will be upon the earth. Today, we have all the modern machines but during that time there will be no computer chips, etc. because of the wrath of God being poured out upon the earth. Rev 16:20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

The mark of the beast is believing that the anti-Christ (instead of Christ) comes first. The devil will come pretending that he is Jesus. Everyone will think he is.
