The Rapture is headed for New York City, and just in time for Christmas. In Left Behind: Eternal Forces, a Christian-themed videogame due out this October, the New York skyline smolders during the End of Days, the faithful have been called up to heaven, and the remaining New Yorkers are engaged in an epic clash between the Tribulation Forces and the Antichrist's army of Global Community Peacekeepers (aka UN Peacekeepers).

Evangelical videogame makers are praying that Eternal Forces will finally enable them to tap into the $25 billion global videogame market. They hope their "Christian" values-themed game will capture the same audience that has made bestsellers out of violent standards like Grand Theft Auto and Halo 2.

Funny...I would have thought a Christian video game would have had Jesus helping those who had been shot or killed...bringing them back to life again after the heathens had injured them.

Who woulda thunk?

I wonder if prophet Muhammad had ever insulted anyone. Muslims say that prophet Muhammed had always watched his tongue and he had never insulted anyone. In the other hand, there is a prophetical statement told by prophet Muhammad himself that says he was just a human who could insult anyone and he asked god to reward people whom he insult. That prophetical statement (Hadith) was narrated by Muslim (4707) and also by Musnad Ahmad (23049).

Is that statement true? if true, why muslims say that prophet Muhammed had never insulted anyone?

i figured that would get your attention. speaking purely theoretically. if the bible says "None shall know the day or the hour" then if people just keep anticipating the judgement day to be in between today and tommorow then it'll never come.

i swear if i hear something like "well god's not real so you don't have to worry" or "how dare you try and cheat god" something like that, i swear i will report you, this is hypothetical

12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”[f]
14 Blessed are those who do His commandments,[g] that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But[h] outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

Revelation 22:12-15 (New King James Version)

All I am doing is quoting the Bible here. I'm not asking anyone to convert to any religion or disconvert. I'm just asking people if this is a clear message.

Have you read how God is AGAINST the rapture theory?
Ezekiel 13:20 "Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly."

God is talking to those preachers that teach the rapture.
Why can you see that the rapture is wrong?

Why do people say there so many flaws in the Bible but believe in evolution. Most of the flaws in the Bible are verses taken out of context and things changed in translation.

Types of evoltution believed:
1. Cosmic evolution- the origin of time, space and matter. Big Bang.
2. Chemical evolution- the origin of higher elements from hydrogen.
3. Stellar and planetary evolution- Origin of stars and planets.
4. Organic evolution- Origin of life from inanimate matter.
5. Macroevolution- Origin of major kinds.
6. Microevolution Variations within kinds- Only this one has been observed, the first five are religious. They are believed, by faith, even though there is no empirical evidence to prove them in any way.

Yet evolution is just a theory. Peole believe that all 6 forms of evolution have been proven because of evidence for micro-evolution.

This deception is a classic case of bait and switch. One definition of evolution (such as “descent with modification”) is given and the others are assumed to be true by association. The first five meanings are believed by faith, have never been observed and are religious. Only the last one is scientific. It is also what the Bible predicted would happen. The animals and plants would bring forth “after their kind” in Genesis 1.

People seem to think they are so tolerant but they are really not. They simply have a tolerance of conveience. They easily focus on something they accept but others may not, but are hypocritical in all the other things they do not accept but do not address.

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,[a] and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.

Revelation 20:11-13 (New King James Version)

This seems pretty clear to me, either believe in Jesus Christ, or on the day of judgement, you are on your own.

Seems pretty blunt and clear to me.

God created people, people worship something other than God, people ignore God, therefore doesn't it seem reasonable that God would want to call the people he created to account?

The reason why I'm agnostic is because I believe that you can't always depend on Him to do everything for you. Years ago, I had to pray and everything. I confessed my sins and all, I desired several things and attempted to get what I want. I didn't have full faith in myself since I believed God will be there to help me. I learnt from that and I believed that you can't always depend on Him to help you, you have to do it yourself. That's why I stand agnostic, a tentative belief that the existence of God can neither be proven nor disproven. What about you?

Look at all the wars and death and suffering that is brought about by groups of people who maintain that their conjecture about God and everything is better than everyone else's conjectures.

Why kill for something that nobody can prove or deny and which is probably fantasy anyway. It's like waging war over which is the movie of the year?

What about all the born-agains whose preachers make them vote for a man who wants to wage war in the name of the latest buzzword 'freedom' even though the result is invariably death, destruction, suffering and yet more hate.

Organized religion causes as much devastation as other stuff like drugs and should be illegal for pretty much the same reason that it brings about the degeneration of society - except on a worldwide level.

What's your take?

Other than the Hispanic "Day of the Dead" and the Celtic Samhein, do any other countries/cultures celebrate a holiday similar to Halloween? I am collecting information for my 6th grade class's October research project. I am looking specifically for Asian cultures, or African cultures, but any and all responses are welcomed. Also, any websites that might help.
