If that were the case, God should be more blatantly visible to the people he created, and not be so sadistic as to make things extremely difficult and confusing.

Its not necessarily logical. The concept of god is not "God as a vending machine" a cold thing that works in a predictable pattern. God isn't a thing its a person, and just like a person some people don't call others to account.
And this is of course only true as long as you make the assumption god exists.

===========================
In Islam Jesus (pbuh) is not God and not the son of God. Jesus (pbuh) is a Holy Prophet just like the Prophets Abraham (pbuh), Noah (pbuh), Moses (pbuh) and Mohammed (pbuh). God is one, pure, and clean from all defects. He is the only one worthy of worship. He has no beginning nor does he have an end. He has no partner. The earth, sky, stars, sun, everything was created by him alone, and he is the master of all things. He has the ability to make a person rich or poor. He gives things life and death by his command. He is pure from and relations e.g. Father, mother, son, daughter, etc. He does not have face or body and nothing is like Him, he is free from any position or place.

Yes - and it says precisely that in the Bible. People will be called to account in the end of times. Only the few true believers go to their heavenly reward.
Read the book of Revelation.

account for what they are doing wrong? Yes. It makes sense that we should worship the one who made us.

He doesn't want to, but He will.
Loving Father that He is, He would rather they come to Him.
He's waiting, as we speak, and giving them every opportunity.
2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Those who rejected Christ will be called to account at the final judgement. Those who died without the knowledge of Christ will be given the chance at judgement to accept or reject.
