The reason why I'm agnostic is because I believe that you can't always depend on Him to do everything for you. Years ago, I had to pray and everything. I confessed my sins and all, I desired several things and attempted to get what I want. I didn't have full faith in myself since I believed God will be there to help me. I learnt from that and I believed that you can't always depend on Him to help you, you have to do it yourself. That's why I stand agnostic, a tentative belief that the existence of God can neither be proven nor disproven. What about you?

Oh, I have many other reasons to believe I'm agnostic. There are so much to say.

I was a Christian at one point in life. Then, few years later, I lost faith. I became agnostic.

I'm agnostic. I believe in not only free will, but in cause and effect - bad things happen because we let it happen, not because a god hates us. Same goes for good things, it has nothing to do with anything but luck and what we do to make things the way they are. Sorry that I'm not able to explain further, but keep in mind that it IS morning. :p

A Fusionist, I am of the mind that all can find a happy place to co-exist in some agreed upon area.
My God today is a little pink bhudda looking fish with a g-string.Same God as most everyone, just that is how I picture a God to be at this time, a funny character that enjoys laughter.
Tomorrow, I dont know, and neither does any other living being.
To be an Atheist is like pretzel logic, a thought that has no conclusion. To deny that there is a God means that you have to acknowledge that one exists, and so on.
So I am in a happy place right here and now, and that is all that really matters.

The more you try to define anything without actualy seeing it, the more likely you are to be wrong.

If I ask you to describe my car and you say it has 4 wheels, you have a big chance of being right, but as soon as you start to define the details of colours, make, model, year accessories etc, the more likely it is that you're miles away from the truth. Maybe I don't even have a car after all.

Same with God - so I'm agnostic! I define God as the reasons why things are the way they are - doesn't have to be a person. I think that's vague enough to be a foolproof description. Anything else is conjecture.

P.S. Atheists are just as bad as believers because they are also believers in something that cannot be scientifically demonstrated. It's like saying that just because we have not found any cure for cancer, then cancer cannot be cured ever.

SOo because you prayed and did not get what you wanted you lost your faith. If you truly had your faith you would havre understood that God helps those that help themselves, and that you can pray for anuyhing and sometimes the answer is NO. Just because you try to follow Him and pray does not mean He will give you what you want. You are to try and live by the guidelines that He has set up for the betterment of mankind. Yes God can be proven. Take for instance that the Bible has and is used as aroad map to every archelogical dig. But I am not to try and convince you, You have made your choice and that is your right. I do feel bad for you for God can do some wonderful things in your life they may not all benefit you but that is the way it goes.

I am a Pentecostal Christian. I attend a pentacocostal church.

I have been in a rough spot a few yrs back. I stopped going to church all together. This was around the time that I got married too. Well to make it short, I stopped going and didnt care about anything, but i felt horrible and I didn't know why. Then after I had my daughter I went to church on a sunday with my mom. Well I decided to go up for prayer and then I felt so much better, like I knew what was missing. So I continued going to church the next few weeks. One sunday on my way home from work I was in a horrible car accident, I got hit head on freeway by a drunk driver. I feel that If I had not gone back to church then my outcome could have been much worse.

Christian, I have always been able to depend on God even in times when I am not really sure what He is trying to teach me, I look back after and think, that it was awesome the way He worked it out. I also have so many times within my life where I wasn't sure we were going to make it financially because we went through a rough time and we would have bags of grocery show up on our doorstep, and people we didn't even know come up to us and say I know you need this. Then we never saw them again.

Even the miracle of my daughter strengthens my faith as I see her melting the hearts of my parents and softeneing them, as they have grown very hard over the years. I know God put her in our lives as a blessing not only to us, but to reach her Grandma and Grandpa.

Maybe it's not logical or intelligent to believe in God and make Him Lord of your life in some people's viewpoint, but I can't deny Him. If I did I would be lying.

I am agnostic. It is the only logical choice as neither side can be proved logically. (by side I mean God or no God, not Atheist or Christian) Hey Cheese, go look up what Agnostic means. Good question.

I am Christian and proud of it.
We walk by faith not by sight.
If we could PROVE the Bible - there would be many come to repentence - because they would have no choice.
God wants us to have Faith. He wants us to love Him and serve Him because we want to - NOT because we have to.

2nd. I don't believe for a second that you were really serious about God to begin with. It sounds to me that you were testing HIM.
You were wanting God to do YOUR will instead of the other way around. We are supposed to do HIS will.
In Hebrews 11:1 we find that FAITH is the substance of things HOPED for and the evidence of things NOT SEEN.
Satan tried to prove him too. And you know what God said to him? "Thou shat not TEMPT the Lord thy God!"

Next time, you should serve the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul
Deutronomy 6:5

and Don't forget - you aren't fooling God for a minute. He KNOWS what's in your heart

Agnostics are fence sitters. They are the reason that numbers are still high on the Christian side. They go to church once a year on Xmas and hope that settles issues.
Pick a side.

I don't know exactly what am I, Formerly I'm catholic, but my way of thinking confronts with the others, I cannot believe everything the pope or a priest says, and cannot do everything the bible says. I don't depend on anything and I think nobody must do it...
