Like, I'm a Catholic 13 year old, should I try to start listening for God? Like.... how do I? Pray?

You gotta
~ Find a suitable location to pray, preferrably your room.
~ Sit on your bed, if you can, kneel before God
~Pray to Him sincerely
~Do not expect an answer too soon because God gives His answers in three ways (Yes, No, Wait.)
~Continue praying, don't give up just because you can't hear Him. God can hear you alright. But he may answer in a totally different way!

Your church teaches that only those higher up the holy scale can actually hear God, thats why you go to see them at mass. Other churches who follow the same God believe that God talks to humanity constantly, however an enlightened view is that God talks to all animals, and the lower predators have no problem hearing. Read the red letter printing in your Bible to learn how to hear him and it also teaches you how to pray or talk to him. One thing to remember is that God will never tell you to kill others, no matter how special you feel nobody is that special.

I have trouble with this too. God won't always speak to you spiritually. He can use things of this earth to help you. But just try to listen to your heart and your thoughts. Remember he created you and can control your thinking. Just be careful its not the devil trying to play tricks on you. Sometimes you might feel like you need to do something or not do something and you have no idea why, thats probably god too.

Just pray and you will know that God is listening. There is no special way of knowing when God contacts you, you will just know.

seek and you shall find...that is what i would suggest..have complete faith in him..welll he may appear before u in your dreams or perhaps when u suddenly turn around he may be right behind you..i'm not jokin...its true..pray in such a way that tears flow without your own knowledge..pls do try...

Pray. Your conscious will basically talk to you. It'll be weird aat first but you'll understand it if you truly want to.

well..God has his own funny ways to cummincate wid every1! it can be somethin simple wid just a silent one to one talk wid him at nite before u sleep..or singin aloud ur favourite song wile bathing!! its a very personal thing...u can communicated nyway uwant to......d big thing..dere is no rite or wrong way!!
