Actually they are recording everything on more advanced technology of computers. The scriptures called it paper because they were revealed thousands of years back and that time people would have not understand what God means by computer.

Don't you know that angels communicate with people in different ways? They would use anything to send you a message. It could be a piece of paper, your computer, a picture, a sound, a person, a pet ... anything.
