Also, is sciontology REALLY a religion? I mean seriously, John Trovolta has reached level A of it and now if he wants to he can kill a man with his mind. If it was a REAL religion why would God give someone the power to do something that is against one of the 7 commandments? And they'd most likly get away with it until they got to hell.

The book, with the rest of its pages stuck shut, is open to Psalm 83 which cites a plot to cut off Israel from being a nation. Among the plotters listed are the Ishmaelites, Edom, Moab, Philistines and the people of Tyre, among others.

Are they worried a non-muslim will find them attractive and therefore take them from the muslim once they realize how good life is with a non-muslim?

Yesterday, a man came into my mosque drunk and depressed. He said he stopped by a church for help but was denied because he was drunk (no offense to anyone; i just figured i'll tell all facets of the story). A few hours later he stumbled across my mosque and said he was instantly greeted with warm welcomes, a glass of water, a chair, and a wet towel to put across his head. By then, the worst of his "hangover" was gone; he had been drinking since morning.

I walked into the mosque, introduced myself to him, asked a few questions. I saw he had a book in his hand about Islam. He told me the least he could do to thank us was to read about the religion and learn about what Islam really is since all he has heard about Islam is that it is a violent religion. I said "thank you," and walked away because it was time for prayer. By the end of the night, I saw him praying. After prayer, I saw him talking to a reknowned person in the community. Seems they've "found" a book of Psalms in a Irish bog. They have "dated" the find at 800-1000 years old (without actual radiometric dating too...) and the clincher is that the book was found open.
And they say it's legible.
So I'm wondering how many idiots will actually believe this thing is authentic? The fact is; Vellum would never have survived. The insects in the bog would have had a feast.
Leather survives fairly well as does human flesh if it's buried deep enough, but vellum? Tasty treat for the bugs.
But some people actually believe (and I still can't fathom the ignorance that goes with this) that the shroud of Turin is authentic. And that the James Ossuary is authentic too, despite the fact that it's been proven to be an outright fraud.
Never underestimate the stupidity of the average christian and you'll never be dissapointed. <= My new motto...

Some people talk about how all us inhabitants of Earth are decendants of Adam and EVE. But, we aren't, don't you remember the great flood God brought upon the Earth and killed ALL living things except for those which God told Noah to put on the ark? That we are decendents of Noah and his family?

I've seen people say several times that the King James version is the only "real" version of the bible and that all others have been corrupted by man. I was under the impression that ALL versions of the bible had been corrupted by man, seeing as they were all written by man... Anyway, why is King James considered the only real version of the bible? Got anything to back it up?

Couldn't the bible just be the liniage of Adam and Eve? Couldn't GOD have made other people outside of the Garden of Eden? Couldn't Adam and Eve just be the first people of a certain race of people? I am curious on peoples views on this.

I have been reading about Islam, and I have to say it really intreagues me..there are a lot of things I could accept, but some things I believe I would not be able to give up. See.. I believe in one Divinity.. but I see Divinity in a both female and a male aspect... but they are still one. I usually like to think of GOd as a feminie Divinity.. because it makes more sense to me. Would this be acceptable in Islam? I am accknowledgeing Allah... but just a little differently. Does it really matter how we see God, as long as we just worship HIM/HER

My mom is Christian and my dad is Muslim. My dad wants me to be in his religion and vise versa for my mom. I don't want to be a Muslim and pray on a rug because one I think it's weird and two I have no idea how to speak Arabic. I want to be a Christian, but I was never baptised and I don't know what they're talking about when I go to church. Sometimes I question if God is really real. No offense to people, but haven't you ever wondered how God was born? Who made him or whatever? Have you ever wondered why people only live till they're in their 80's or 90's? I'm sorry if I'm offending people, but I just wanna know if you beileve in him? I believe, but I have a very big imagination and sometimes question if there really is a God.

Today I watched the sunrise and soon I will sit outside and watch it set. I know you all are going to think I'm nuts but that's okay --- I can live with that. For the past 2 years (approx.) I have seen out of the corner of my eye a white haze - like a smokey figure (but not human shape or anything) -- I look towards it and it disappears after I see it. My granddaughter was here this past weekend. Her mom said "look at her -- what is she looking at and smiling about" and her head was looking all over like she was watching something fly around that WE did not see (including me). I calmly said "we have a ghost" -- thank goodness she believed me. I have wanted to believe --- and pray it is my dad. It's given me comfort and never made me scared for some reason. Any ideas?

P.S. This site states that the belief that "God Loves Everyone" [is] "The Greatest Lie Ever Told". If this is so, who does God love?
