Couldn't the bible just be the liniage of Adam and Eve? Couldn't GOD have made other people outside of the Garden of Eden? Couldn't Adam and Eve just be the first people of a certain race of people? I am curious on peoples views on this.

I've always wonder that myself. Obviously the Bible only tells one part of the story, because those people had to come from somewhere. Either that or Adam and Eve were really really busy before Cain and Able came along and sent all those previous children all over the world. Plus if Adam and Eve only had two sons, where did those wives come from?

It's great to see people question the words and know they realize there is more to the story somewhere.

People were living to be ages of 700-900 years so it's very possible that by the time Cain and Able were of age that many new generations of people had been born. Adam and Eve continued to have "sons and daughters" as did their sons and daughters.

Also, there was the issue of the "sons of God and the daughters of men" mingling. Many believe this resulted in a race of giants.

There are many different theories on this topic, but I think the bible speaks best as it is, and I take the Genesis account literally.

To assume there were other people would be reading something into the Bible that was not there. Adam and Eve lived for hundreds of years. they had many children who had many, many children. Population wise, there is no logistical problem with Adam and Eve being the only created people. The Bible also says that everyone came from Adam and Eve. There is no reason to assume more.

Elohim is plural meaning gods and Elohim made people in their image. Then one god made Adam and Eve and put them in the garden of Eden. When they were cast out, and after Cain killed Abel, Cain went and married a woman from another land (Nod maybe) that was peopled by the folks that the other god or gods made.

Many theologins believe that the Elohim (that's who Adam and Eve's children married and had kids with, sometimes called the race of Giants) were the pagans, and Adam and Eve were the first 'children of God'. (The church doesn't like to talk about the Elohim, but look them up in the back of any bible or ask a minister, they're there!)

All a direct line from Adam and Eve. Different races/languages came about as a result of the Tower of Babel. This tower was built by the decendants of Noe in order to reach heaven. God, obviously not appreciative to the idea, made it so they couldn't understand each other and scattered them accross the lands....thus, no tower to reach heaven.

and that is the million dollar question. Some how when Cain went out into the world, he found all of these people called Egyptians. Just another contradicting so called fact in the Bible. I am sure someones religious delusion will spin it in such a way as to give you a far fetched answer.

First question: Adam and Eve

Second question: There were no others

Third question: He could but he didn't, it would have defeated his purpose.

Fourth question: Yes, but they weren't. Adam was the "first" Adam, the first of human kind. Jesus was the second Adam, the first of the spiritual kind.
