I know you all are going to think I'm nuts but that's okay --- I can live with that. For the past 2 years (approx.) I have seen out of the corner of my eye a white haze - like a smokey figure (but not human shape or anything) -- I look towards it and it disappears after I see it. My granddaughter was here this past weekend. Her mom said "look at her -- what is she looking at and smiling about" and her head was looking all over like she was watching something fly around that WE did not see (including me). I calmly said "we have a ghost" -- thank goodness she believed me. I have wanted to believe --- and pray it is my dad. It's given me comfort and never made me scared for some reason. Any ideas?

I mean complex. My granddaughter is 7 months old and I have another grandchild coming (my father moved here after my son's birth to be near him) -- and he is the father of the new baby on the way.

I must have messed up. My father passed away years ago. HE moved here when my younger son was born to be near him. My youngest son is the father of the baby on the way. WOW I guess I messed that one up. No -- nothing weird. Other than the ghost.

I know about the "eye problem" issue BUT I ONLY see this at the apartment. I work full time and am out and about other times. It is ONLY here that I see it.

Well I certainly believe in spirits for reasons which I won't say on here(to many bashers) but it seems to be peaceful, most are. You can always ask it to leave if you want but since it gives you comfort then I see no problems. Even if you didn't believe it would still be there. And young children and babies can very easily see them due to there innocence and the fact that society has not stamped into their heads that they don't exist or are evil.

Most children(up to a certain age) have the abiility to see into the realms of the spirit where ghosts and other things dwell. They are also able to see human auras as well, thus your granddaughter may speak of a person as being blue or purple or green when they are not wearing any of that color. There seem to bne many earthbound spirits these days, I don't know why. Some are protective angels also. These matters are far more common perhaps than you realize. There are many fine books that can educate you on these and other spiritual matters from a non-religious or a religious point of view. Have no fear, you are not alone, friend. Sincerely, UC Eagle Steve

Ghosts are often seen out of the corner of your eye, but not straight forward because of the way we are trained from birth to see things. Also it has been said that seeing into the fourth dimension has the same effect.
However I'm a little concerned about your additional statement that YOUR Father is the father of the unborn grandchild? Yet earlier you said your father was dead? I hope this was just a typographical error

these sort of experiences are not ghosts .. ghosts are just play backs of events .. like a recording of what once was
and although i would normally say thing from the corner of your eye can be explained away with possible eye problems or floaters which are very common ( blood vessels bursting behind the eye )
but i have a feeling there is more to this one .. the children seeing something ( as kids are certainly more aware of things )
this would not be anyone who died there or anything morbid like that , but my feeling is that with the new children in the family and one on the way .. that your loved ones ( in spirit ) are paying a little visit and its really nothing to worry about .. in fact i think you are quite comfortable with it by sounds of it so that's great xx
always best to get eyes checked though xx

If you believe it is your father and you don't know of any deaths occurring on that property than you are probably right. My daughter did something similar when my father died and she was 22 months old. She kept looking up into the air and standing quietly as if she was intently listening to someone. She would then say okay and go about what she had been doing. She did this several times. I believe that it was my father and I have felt his presence many times in my mother's home. Spirits aren't always trapped where they die. They can travel and check in on their loved ones.

I always see things out of the corner of my eye(20/20 vision),this is known to be called shadow people, nothing scary they are just passing by.If it was a relative it is rare that they show them selves to you, what they normally do is send things, for example butterflies, birds or even pennies, keep and eye out one day you might all of a sudden se butterflies everywhere.Another clue is that you will smell a familiar scent of that relative like tobacco or perfume. As far as the child goes they are more in-tune to spirits than we are but not always are they spirits,a lot of times it could just be their spirit guide, you really can't say for sure until they are older and can talk and fill you in on the details.Hope this helps.

You never know. I always feel that I have someone around me. I have always heard that small children are more susceptible to things of that nature. I do believe that things like that happen and if you believe it is your father, then I'm sure it is. If you get a feeling and just know it, then hold on to that because if it were an evil presence, your granddaughter would have been scared of it like my daughter was. She would wake up screaming at night and she would point to a corner in her room and scream. We had to have our house "cleansed" by a cleric that we knew.

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.
While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.
Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.
I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.
I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.
I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.
Your brother don

I do believe that we are often blessed with benign spirits and their presence is most often a blessing upon us. I have two guardian angels. No one but me saw the two gentlemen that secured the front tire of the overturned tractor and then pulled me from under before the tractor rolled over onto where I had been.
When I crawled from the ditch I tried to thank them, but the police said I was dreaming.

My wife grew up in a "haunted house." Lots of people saw and experienced things there, but my wife actually developed a sort of quiet relationship with the ghost. I've never seen a ghost, but for her it was real, and she felt that it protected/comforted her when she was frightened of her father's anger. I say, be grateful.
