Please be respectful. Everyone one should be able to laugh at oneself but if the joke is written in the spirit of hatred it will be obvious. Ok here's one I remember.

There was a Catholic priest, Protestant minsiter, and a Jewish Rabbi all discussing how much of the tithe they keep for the church & how much they give to God.

The Catholic goes first saying, "Well I draw a circle and throw the money up in the air and what falls inside the circle I keep, and what falls outside I give to God. Then the protestant says, "Well I also draw a circle and what falls outside the circle I keep, and what falls inside I give to God". Last the Rabbi proclaims, "I just throw the money up in the air, and whatever God wants, he can take."

I'm not saying that one scripture is more important than the other, but I love the idea in this passage. The words seem so perfect.

Rom 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Rom 5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Please tell me - how can I tell a real Christian or a true Christian from a person that just claims to be a Christian?

I mean it, I want to know if there's a way to tell that'll actually work, because I hear so much on this forum about "Well, he's not a "true Christian" if he said that," and, "She's not a true Christian if she committed (fill in the sin)."

So... what is the criteria of a "true" or "real" Christian?

Sometimes i feel that things of the world are taking the place of where God should be in my heart. I've thought and thought and prayed about it a lot but I cannot seem to figure out the solution to how to put God first. I mean, my religion is a very big part of me. I pray a lot. I ask for forgiveness whenever I consciously sin. But I still feel that I need to get my priorities organized better. Do any Christians have any advice to put God first?

A lot of people seem to think that science has proven that there is no God. Finally some scientist are admitting that existing scientific theories may be wrong. Included among these is the universe starting with a big bang. I fully realize that this still does not prove the existence of God(my belief), but I was hoping to get some intelligent responses from other perspectives.

If a Christian backslides, should he/she be rebaptized if repents? How about if they do it several times in their lifetime?

I knelt to pray but not for long, I had too much to do. I had to hurry and get to work. For bills would soon be due. So I knelt and said a hurried prayer, And jumped up off my knees. My Christian duty was now done, My soul could rest at ease. All day long I had no time to spread a word of cheer. No time to speak of Christ to friends, They'd laugh at me I'd fear. No time, no time, too much to do, That was my constant cry, No time to give to souls in need. But at last the time, the time to die. I went before the Lord, I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book; It was the book of life. God looked into his book and said, "Your name I cannot find. I once was going to write it down... but never found the time"

And going to church doesn't make you a christian any more than standing in a stable makes you a horse. Why do people always judge a group by it's weakest link?

According to the bible, in Genesis 26, “On the sixth day God made man....”
On the seventh day he rested.
After that was the Garden of Eden, then God made Adam and Eve.
So how come everyone thinks Adam and Eve were the first People?

I am sick of reading comments from these so called Christians, who sit here and put people down who don't believe as they do, or people who still haven't decided and are asking questions on faith and religion get told basically, your damned if you don't believe in God.

They seem to think belief in God makes them better people, this is not so, doesn't the bible teach not to judge, and love thy neighbor. It certainly doesn't say love thy neighbor only if he/she thinks as you do.
