shouldn't we believe in creation by God?

iknowtruthis - Your comment is based on the assumption that God does not exsist and that he is not powerful and able to create.

miss gem 01 - No, it is easier to be atheist.
It is harder to make yourself accountable to the Word of God.
Science is wonderful. And it does not disprove the Bible, it confirms it! Its just that the skeptics like to spin things in a dishonest or untruthful way.

miss gem 01 - "And there is no way for you to know". How do you know? Did you know that God reveals himself by his Spirit to people who are not full of "wrong" pride, or who do not have a heart that is hardened to him.

iknowtruthis - It would help if you did not disregard the information we have from the Bible about God. About Gods creative power. It takes more faith to believe that matter just "popped" into existence. And thats all your left with. Of course thats silly. Especially in light of the fact that the universe is orderly, as opposed to chaos. And when you consider life, and its complexity, its just more reason to accept creation.

I will tell you as soon as I finish putting this watch back together, by simply shaking all of the loose parts around in a bag. If I can do it then the answer is no, but if I can't then the answere is yes. Hold on still shaking...still shaking...O.K. you might have a point.

Yes! Big bang theory = God said it and Bang, it happened!

God inteligently created the world to evolve as the environment evolved. He did not create an ape and turn it into a person.

Everyone has heard of the missing link; the transition creature between Man and the Apes. We`ve never really found him-in fact, we`ve never really found any link between one species and another. Scientists have found species with similarities, but the transitions are simply not there. It is inherent in Darwinism that species make a smooth, seamless transition from one form to another. The reality is that we see no such transitions in the fossil record, and evolutionists struggle to hide or explain away this embarrasing fact.

The belief should lead to a direct experience that goes beyond belief; believing or not believing or rationalizing will never fully solve the issue. The mystery of existence is always there and can be resolved. The mystery is overwhelming - take god out and we're still left with somethnig always there (force, potential, process, whatever). Put god back in and we're left with what created god. Ouch. Makes your mind go nuts. Only way to resolve it -- enlightenment experience.

NO!
if you choose to, go ahead. But I think it's wrong. And there is no way for you to know it's right without evidence/proof/knowledge of some sort.

That's the EASY way, it's so EASY to believe that some almighty superior being created the earth. Doens't it seem a little TOO easy? Whatever happened to science and truth. Faith is great, don't get me wrong, and I respect absolutely anybody who chooses to put their faith into a religion. You'll never find me doing it, that's all. I have many reasons.

Who says it couldn't have just happened? Think about it, there could be countless planets upon planets out there. Okay, so if just a small fraction of those planets could support life, then maybe on one of those could eventually support intelligent life. But why us, what are the chances of us being that one planet in the entire universe with intelligent life? Well if it wasn't us, we couldn't ask that question because intelligent life wouldn't exist.

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously barfed the universe into being, is absurd

You are asserting something as a given then attempting to move on.

The fact of the matter is that we know that in fact lipids begin to form cell membranes naturally in fluid and we know that primitive cells can form spontaneously.

So, your assertion is false -- therefore, what follows it is totally immaterial.

Since the complexity of life could not have just popped up overnight, no, we shouldn't.

What, God just thought, "Hey, that's it!" and poof, it was all here and perfect? Why wouldn't he take his time, change some things around, tweak it here and there? Why wouldn't he have used evolution?
