I am sick of reading comments from these so called Christians, who sit here and put people down who don't believe as they do, or people who still haven't decided and are asking questions on faith and religion get told basically, your damned if you don't believe in God.

They seem to think belief in God makes them better people, this is not so, doesn't the bible teach not to judge, and love thy neighbor. It certainly doesn't say love thy neighbor only if he/she thinks as you do.

Those people who call themselves Christians and then badmouth or belittle others are wrong! This is not what God teaches us. If we want to talk with someone about God and/or Christianity, we are to do it gently and with love, not with judgement or anger or pointing fingers. I am saddened by the number of times I hear of "Christians" treating others this way. It is wrong! But, please, don't allow yourself to fall into that crowd who believes that ALL Christians are that way. They aren't!

Well, let us pose this, if someone is condemning you because you do not believe in God, then they will be judged severely. It is not a christians place to beat down non-christians. It is our job given to each of us to teach others about the Love of God. That is all.

Let us take a look at a situation. If you or another non-believer is being bashed by a christian and you make the decision to walk away because of that action don't you think that God will look down upon that bashing and punish that christian? Answer??? Yes!

The good news is the following. God loves you because He made You. That is the truth. Now with that said, I want to tell you if you were the only person on earth and Jesus was here - He would (Promise) still die just for you!! That is incredible news!!!

Okay, back to the answer. As a christian, I would walk next to you and show you what it is to be a christ centered man. You would notice a difference and I know as so many others - I have been asked why am I so different. Then I tell them in Love who I am. That is not bashing and after hearing me, you could make a choice.

I believe in God but I do not think I am better than anybody else and all i ever do is try to help people. As far as judging anyone, I try not to. There is some questions on here that has been a question for judgement but i do not judge anyone that does or does not believe in God. If u do not believe in God then that is your decision and it is nobody elses. But....... When a person makes a statement downing those for believing in God deserves a judgement answer. Everyone deserves to have their own beliefs and i respect this highly. I do not preach God to anyone, but I do not want people to degrade me for believing in God as u do not want to be degraded for not believing. I do not call this judging, I call this standing up for what I believe in if i am going to be judged by the non believers.
I do know there are hypocrits and i know some. I do know some that go to church on sunday and ask for forgiveness for hating thy neighbor the day before, but they should not be judged as you should not be judged for not believing at all.

Because the bible and other religions have a high degree of judgment in it -- God is the ultimate symbol of judgment (God being created by a projection of people's ego thought systems). There's no way that people can't judge if they believe in the biblical god or the koran god; god himself judges and rewards or condemns. Then people think they're on the side of god if they believe or follow his laws, like the guy who supports the sadistic tyrant to get the tyrant's reward and avoid his punishment. The sad thing is that this hides the real god from people -- the god of unconditional love.

First point, people who believe in God do not ALL think they are better than others, if they *do* then they have lost the ability to discern their own fallen nature.

Next, sorry you run across so many "reps" who put people down, but it is a common belief in Christianity that either one is on the right hand of God or the left. In essence, Christianity teaches that without Christ there is no chance for redemption because He is the only sin offering humans can offer for their sins, it is a continuation, or rather the fulfillment of the law.

As for belief in God making one a "better person", I think your onto something...The point is, *that* is exactly what faith in God is supposed to do, it is meant to lead us (who are Christians) to follow Christ and His teachings and according to our belief we are helped by Gods grace to become a better person. If by chance someone judges you, it is only their own pride and not the actual Christian doctrine that is to blame.

Peace.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqeoIZuWRWGMzY239XbVE7zsy6IX?qid=20060725130035AAY5VsV I have no clue if you can open this question or not. It is one that says how he/she hates Christians and all they stand for. This is beginning to cause tensions to build in people. We as Christians need to get up and walk away from the computer when things like this start to rub us. We need to ask the Lord for His guidance in this type of matter. Then we need to remember that Jesus gave His all. As far as putting anyone down I don't believe I have and I am a Christian. We was all walking in the darkness at one time in our lives, seeking for a truth that was clear. Actually faith makes me a better person for all to know. It does not make me better than you. It makes me more knowledgeable of the things of the Lord. I do not judge, that is not my job. We all have a judge when the time comes. Love thy neighbor is everyone in the world. Not just your neighbor down the street. I read the Bible and study to make myself acceptable in the sight of God. This is part of being a Christian, knowing in whom you believe.

I apologise for the feelings you have felt coming into contact with other God believers. I myself was a hindu and after 28 yrs of going to novena church have this year been baptised. Believe me when i say I have no interest to convert anyone. But I am so happy that whenever I am in my lowest ebb, i have someone to turn to - GOD. Yes i have been through many problems but in the end it is only GOD who keeps me uplifted while others end their lives. I dont think most of your brothers think they are better than non believers. But Maybe because their life seems calmer we think so.
Anyway I know relationship with god is personal and is all a matter of time. Good luck and all the best is wished u.

You're absolutely right. When someone claims to be better than someone else because he believes in God, that person is completely blowing it. A belief in God, if anything, should cause someone to realize how inadequate they are on their own and be more humble.

Jesus reserved His wrath for the self righteous and the judgemental.

Telling someone they won't go to Heaven if they don't believe in God is more of a doctrinal issue than a judgemental one, though. It's not necessarily a self righteous statement.

I believe in God and I do not think that just because you believe in God, it makes you a good person. Some 'religious' people commit crimes. Some commit crimes and say that it's for God. It all boils down to oneself and how he/she interpret the faith they believe in and how much they want to follow.

Some of these Christian missionary people do not even think they are better than the people who do not believe in God. They even think they are better than all other religion. Please note I used the word some as I do not like to generalise.

I am a Christian and feel the same what you do in this matter. I truly believe a true Christian would not act that way. There are those that go to church and put on false heirs.

A true Christian would have a Christlike attitude. They would not condemn or put down anyone

You people need to get off of this blame christians thing. God's word is crystal clear. You can either accept it and follow Him and accept His son Jesus as your savior or not. If you dont' you already belong to satan, and he then controls your life straight into hell.
Christian do have a better life because it is promised to anyone who follows God and accepts His son Jesus as their savior.
Christians are forgiven for their sins. Sin will get you death. Salvation though Accepting Jesus will get you eternal life in heaven.

IF you are sick of reading what Christians have to say, no one is forcing you to go onto yahoo answers. no one is forcing you to read the posts in the religious and spiritual forums. And by the way, according to the word of God, you are damned if you dont' believe in God or accept His son Jesus as your savior. You want to follow satan, that's you choice that will come with its perks like hell fire, and you wont even be able to get a glass of cold water.. Just remember that you condemned yourself by your own choosing.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

This is the word of God. Get over yourself and stop blaming Christians for something you brought on yourself.
