This is an open forum, it doesn't "belong" to anyone, perhaps they are curious to find out how and why some people believe in god(s). I don't understand why it makes many Christians uncomfortable to discus a different viewpoint on that subject, do you only want to hear from people who only believe and think exactly as you do? How do you learn anything new or gain insight that way?

First of all, let me say that I am an Orthodox Christian, but I think atheists have just as much right to post and ask questions in the religion and spirituality section as anyone else. The opinion expressed in that section don't have to be pro-religion and spirituality, just about it. Secondly, there is a difference between atheists and pagans. Thirdly, if it is driving you crazy, perhaps you should examine your own life where something as inane as yahoo! answers matters that much to you. Fourthly, what do you mean by ours? You can't possibly believe that among believers there isn't disagreement. Do you think the section belongs to one specific religious group? or what? I am confused.

The answer begs the question. Many religious people think they have "the way" and are out there bombing and rocket-attacking other religious people who think they know "the way" right this very second.
"becuz it's ours." - you say. Uh huh. Yeah, right. Atheists are up here for purposes of self-preservation. We need to try and educate as many of you "religious people" as we we can before "true believers" like you destroy the only planet and the only life we've got or are going to get. And for the record, the atheists and the pagans aren't " driving (you) crazy". You were that way when we got here. We're just pointing it out. It's true that atheism is a complete lack of religious faith, that does not mean we don't have points to make about the matter. However, I for one check out forums like this to observe you profoundly dangerous religious fundamentalists before you try to put us in "faith-based" reorientation camps so we can "find god" or something equally ridiculous like that. I can't speak for the pagans because their beliefs are amazingly different than atheism - but they seem to be able to get along with others much better than Muslims or Judeo-Christians.

Pagans and atheists are two completely different groups of people.
Perhaps you didn't notice - this section is for those who are interested in asking questions and answering questions about religion and spirituality. Paganism is a religion. Atheists can be spiritual.
Grow up or go to a Christian site.

1) There's a difference between atheists and pagans. Atheists don't believe in a higher power whereas pagans generally are polytheistic and therefore believe in higher deities. I should know since I'm pagan.
2) This is the "Religion and Spirituality" section, not the section for only one belief system. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you need to stop complaining.

Atheists are not Pagans. Pagans believe in their religion just like Christians or Muslims do. Atheists do not believe in any supernatural beings. As a Christian you should have more patience and understanding. Who are you to judge? There is only one Being that has the right to do that and I'm sorry but you are not Him. Mankind should have more tolerance and love for one another.

Because you can have Spirituality without Religion.
And this section is not Christians only....
Also last I checked, Atheism is the belief in no god while Paganism is the belief in many gods.....

Maybe because of First Amendment freedoms.
And "pagans" are not "atheists"
And this area doesn't belong to anyone - except, I guess technically, Yahoo!
And I am glad to see that you are a member of a religion that teaches compassion.

This section is "society and culture" not the religious section.. It just so happens that on the main page all the questions appear..
Why do the christians go into the Gay and Lesbian part? ah because its here!
If you dont want ppl that are not religious in here, then talk to yahoo about having it moved.,. good luck with that!
