Sometimes i feel that things of the world are taking the place of where God should be in my heart. I've thought and thought and prayed about it a lot but I cannot seem to figure out the solution to how to put God first. I mean, my religion is a very big part of me. I pray a lot. I ask for forgiveness whenever I consciously sin. But I still feel that I need to get my priorities organized better. Do any Christians have any advice to put God first?

i think every christian struggles with this at different points in their life. i have really been blessed by making a conscious effort to read my bible everyday and talk to God continually, not only right before i go to bed or eat. it also helps to find a good christian friend to be accountable with. just share all of your struggles and joys and pray for each other. you are doing the right thing by praying, keep on praying. God hears you and He will guide you. and read you bible everyday, it makes a huge difference.

Most people struggle with this. Don't get caught up in repetition and lose the "spirit" behind it. But getting into a routine does help. At some point you really need to take some very quiet distracted time and put your priorities in order and just say to yourself that this is the way you are going to live each day. Don't look at the long haul but day by day. I set and print a "Goal" list each year of about 5 or 6 things I want to do each day/week and it is a constant reminder to me to work on those things. People wore those WWJD items to remind them how to live. You should find something that you could use to constantly remind you how you want to prioritize if it would help.

Yes,Read your bible in the morning.Make that the first thing you do.Pray through out the day, asking for Him to guide your actions, your words, your thoughts.Make the time to go into your special place, were ever that may be and have at least 20 minutes a day talking, praying, most of all praising GOD.Read the bible before you go to bed.Thank HIM for allowing you to see another day.Have faith in HIM,Believe in HIM,Meditate on HIS Word.Ask HIM to give you the wisdom to understand what you have read, and to put those Words in your heart. You want to put HIM first?Do this everyday without fail and form a habit of putting HIM first.

Search the Word for answers. ephesians and romans are both good books for that purpose. other than that, just pray that God will further open your eyes to what He has in store for you. He has put people all around you to mold you into the person you will become. sometimes you just have to seach your heart.

Atheists aren't from now on depraved so i do not comprehend what your talking about. you go and watch the records even as human beings are killing others quite some human beings are depraved which include non secular human beings. besides no man or woman is depraved. i'm Christian my self yet i comprehend that atheists aren't from now on continually depraved equivalent to non secular human beings. and some atheists don't think there's a god so of route there going to mock Christ even however i stumble on it offensive i imagine atheists ought to no longer be impolite about Christ because numerous the time Christians do not go being disrespectful about them.

this worked for me: pray and ask God to show u ...read through the whole book of mathew paying particular attention to what Jesus says and apply it in ur life without exception....this is putting God first...By putting the words of His Son first in ur life...ponder Jesus' words, study them , memorize them, and ask God to show you anything you dont understand...the more you apply then the more you will be shown...dont skip over any point that He reveals to you...if u skip applying somthing that He shows you then He will wait until you get back on it or He will correct you...really dont want that but watever it takes lol....yes!! Just make Jesus the Lord of your life by respecting and adhereing to His words.

Putting him first just means having him in mind when you make your day to day decisions.

Ask yourself "would God like what im about to do??"

and live your life by that ... =]

this is the the point where you cry and beg God to have mercy on your poor soul.
