God wrote the Bible. We know this because the Bible says so.
How can anyone deny Gods own words?

This is what goes on in a typical christians brain (if you can call it a brain)

"If it's in a good book, its gotta be true. And since its in the bible and the book is so old i'm just gonna believe everything it says since its in the book and people tell me to believe in it"

A spirit appears in the form of a beautiful female keeps on visiting me while I'm asleep. The thing is, it doesn't feel like I'm asleep because I'm aware of everything and can communicate with the spirit when this occurs. The experiences are typically erousing, but sometimes it feels like my body is being shredded by a thousand knives. When this happens, it's really painful. It feels soooo real. My theory is that the Succubi is attacking my Spirit body, and that's what's being felt.

No offense is meant here. I'll tell you why I have asked, and I'd like to know what you think about it.

Do you really think it's your place to go around telling who's a "true Christian" and who's not? Your relationship with God is something that is inside of you, correct - between you and God?

Isn't assuming to know about that relationship a character judgement - something you aren't supposed to do?

When a non-Christian asks you "Why did this Christian I know call me a name?" or, "Why did this Christian I know have sex before marriage?" or, "Why did this Christian I know lie to me?" ...Don't you think it's a rather weak argument to claim that person is not a true Christian, and that's why they committed (fill in the sin). Isn't that rather arrogant?

If the people that say "Oh, well he's not a true Christian" would be more tolerant of their own fellow Christians - then I'd feel more confident that they would be tolerant of the rest of us as well.

Dont you think with all these atheists asking all these really cool and interesting questions that we should be a little more appreciative ? I do. Why, I like atheists. I have atheists over for dinner and some of their relatives ARE dinner. I attend atheists anonymous meetings and i also am majoring in atheist tolerance in college. I upped my cable channels to include other animal channel stuff.... and I decided to look for a hairy-er cutie hottie boy to ask me out to the local rumble in the jungle wrestling matches starring Kong the snake man and Hunky Monkey Hogan.... Anyway...thats just my contribution...In fact...I even picked up a hitchhiking gorilla the other day....He turned out to be my new Origins of the Species class Professor in college....Hes cool...his name is ...Professor Onrangu Tang.....How do you think Im doing so far ?

We now have evidence that the twin towers were brought down by pre-planted explosive charges, coordinated with the airplane attack. A mixture of Thermite and sulfur was used to cut the columns, causing the collapse. This was clearly not the work of a handful of Arabs armed with box-cutters. A rogue network, including individuals in key spots in the administrative and legislative branches of our country, shot us in the foot to "justify" invading Afghanist, which they had already threatened to do. Their 9-11 commission report was put out by the same network, so no relevant questions were asked. WTC building 7 collapsed as if by controlled demolition, and it was never hit by an airplane. The Pakistani ISI wired $100,000 to Mohammed Atta two weeks before 9-11 and the head of the ISI was having breakfast with the heads of the Senate and House Intelligence Committees when the attacks on the WTC took place. At least six of the 19 alleged "hijackers" are still alive.

It seems as if the super religious people are always trying to convert or "save" others. These are also the ones who get to decide what's right and what's wrong. Don't they have their own lives and families to worry about?

I'm agnostic, by the way.

my "friend" is christian. i rele do respect that b/c i have LOTS of friends who are. i respect that she sez yea u should be christian and u should believe in God. i respect that much.. but then she goes like "God is going to have a jubiliation or something.. and hes gonna give all non believers a second chance, if not they'll die" and shes CONSTANTLY iimplying that i should be Christian. saying that "its for my own good" but i feel that shes going overboard. and she makes it seem like not being christian is a crime. she always implies that im some bad person b/c im not christian! i rele do feel that at this point shes going way overboard. so which is it? am i overreacting or am i justified to feel the way i do

Look, someone is carrying or recently gave birth to a serial killer, rapist, terrorist, high-school shooter, oil company CEO or cokehead/alcoholic who will swindle his/her way into the presidency and wreak havoc on the Constitution. They can't all be little angels. Why is every life a "miracle"?

To be Christian, you set yourself at higher values. To act with the Lord's love, and peace, as with man, and to not fall prey to the sinful life others lead, you have to dedicate yourself to following God, not the life of sin and worldly values.
In this, how can it be justified, that a gay can call himself a christian, when living as gay, is an abomination in it's own right?
A lot of the replies i've seen, ask for where Jesus condemned it....but if you also know the Bible, the Ten Commandments came from the OT as well.
I'm looking for something that will counteract religous value, beyond doubt...and something that I can't refute.
Oh, and read, that Jesus did say, Go, and Sin no more.
Kinda blunt, but it's cut and dried....if you are to follow the Lord, you're changing your life....not just your clothes, your house, or your habits....everything will change, inside, out and perspective.
If you still have the courage, tell me how one can be gay, and still be christian.

The heck with meaning, beauty, and love. They're just random collisions of fundamental particles. It's all just atoms and the void. Puts on a good show, but we're just waiting for the lights to go out. Right?

u know how after u die, u go to heaven. (well hopefully) is that just it. U live for eternity, never to die again. Time just goes on and on and on never ending. Im not sayin its a bad thing, but do we ever get re-born, or u know recarniated(i really think i spelt that wrong). Sorry if this dosent really make any sense. It just has been in my thoughts for a long time. Maybe i'll understand it better when i die.

How does a Cross standing on the side of a hill, or a stone monument of the ten commandments in front of a court house or the simple prayer of a person who believes force anyones opinion down your throat?
I mean I see billboards that support Athiest views all the time and My children are taught things that I feel are wrong and have not been proven and Hear people cursing and talking about things all the time that I disagree with nor want to hear. so how does it differ? please explain because I am lost on the point.
I think if you were all honest then you would say that you just want to do away with any religion period. You manipulate the laws that were designed to allow me to worship to your side.
Am I wrong?
