My guess would be that the sacreligious fools called judges think that's the way to tell who's "telling the truth" and who's not. I mean, look at all the Manson family followers who put their hands on the Bible and swore to tell the truth....yet, they still killed Karen Tate and all those other people. A child molester still molested that kid, etc.
I also wonder the same thing myself but sweetheart, remember..."they can take my Blessed Bible and tear the pages all apart, but they can't take my Jesus out of my heart. They can take the Ten Commandments right off the courthouse wall, they can take the manger scene from the schools and the mall, they can take my Blessed Bible and tear the pages all apart....But they can't ,no they can't take my Jesus out of my heart."

Well, I heard that 75% of Americans are Christians.
That can't be right, I think it's more like 65%, but whatever.
I guess swearing on the bible, would get to a lot of ppl.

Yeah, In god we trust on the money was added way later, I wish I knew what year.

The First Amendment forbids a state religion, so the Bible has no more right to be in court than the Koran, Bhagivadgita, Tao Te Ching, Eddas, Sutras, Homeric Hymns, etc., etc. Surely, one can swear without any book at all. Atheists are allowed in the USA too.

well - if they're wanting God out of the courthouse, i guess the Bible (since it's Christian) will be gone also.

i think it's time BELIEVERS take a FIRM STAND against such attitudes.

God belongs in everything; and we shouldn't be letting anyone remove him from his RIGHTFUL place irregardless of what they believe.

America & Canada for that matter, didn't get where they're to, by IGNORING GOD's place...we need God.

The 10 commandments are there to remind people of sin; that all men are sinners.

Many heathens are ashamed to be reminded of that fact, and so they have an agenda to try to remove anything that reminds them that THEY are not God.
Unregenerated man is very intolerant of the faith of others.
