Easy write a books of beliefs, follow it in your daily life, and have at least 2 followers.
If you don't act like a cult, and continue to grow you can eventually apply for the status as an official group.
Give it about 10 years to complete this cycle.

First you'll need to know why people come running to religion. The reason they come running to religion is because for whatever reason, divine or otherwise, people suffer from something. This something creates a void in a person, a great detachment that they long to fill. To create a religion all you need is a teaching that has a goal to fill this void. A proven track record always helps.

Do you want to start your own religion that makes money or start your own personal spirituality? I prefer the spiritual part better myself.
