Can't people just accept that others believe and others don't? Why question it?

Without there questions how will they learn? We all started with the questions? That is what led us to the Lord. Without them we can not find our way. No people can not just accept what others believe. God in His infinite wisdom made us to question, even His existence. Then He will guide us through the words of wisdom to the fold. This is why Paul said with patience, temperance in all things. This is why Jesus stressed His love and compassion in everything. Don't worry that the questions are there. Just answer to the glory of God and keep on keeping on.

I question it because I can. This is my right as a Human Being. It is not me who pushes my beliefs off on others, and I am sure many other atheists or agnostics do not do it either. The problem is that when I say what I am and ask for respect in that, I get none. "God" gets thrown in my face. Or how I am lost or a sinner.

What I am getting sick of is hearing god bless this god bless that. And of all things, coming from people who do not even follow their "book of fantasies" word for word.

I respect everyones opinion, but when they start force-feeding it to me I have a problem with it.

Questioning is the only way to get beyond belief. We can believe anything we want and we see what unquestioned belief leads to - look at those who believe that god rewards them for blowing people up on a bus in Israel. Belief about anything becomes just more conditioned stuff that gets piled on what we think we are until we get to the point that we think if we question anything, we're going to threaten our very self. Only by questioning and going past the concepts, do people have a direct experience of God and go WAY beyond the uncertainties of belief.

no because there's always someone who has another theory...another idea of who God is, whether he exists and what the word exist actually means. Maybe we don't exist...

I don't know whether u believe in God or not, but for people who do, it is good to question God sometimes because it allows u to have more faith in him if u understand him better.

you are just freaking over the atheist and theist stuff. They are just the two sides of the same coin. That is why they are always together. Have you ever woken to the sound of the street cats noisy squall, and thought maybe they were fighting, when that was not, what was on their minds at all? good night just got back to check the AI functions, all good bye!

The problem is that some of these people, on either side, want to impose their beliefs onto others. And, to answer your question, I'm not GETTING sick, I have been for years.

I like a good debate. If it is getting hard to defend your beliefs, they are probably wrong. "Why question it?" questioning things is how humans learn. If we did not question, we would be in the stone age still. This is yahoo answers, and questions are what you find here. In this section, they should be about god. Why not try to educate people on your beliefs, if they are WILLING. Freedom of speech.

No, if someone isn't raised a Christian, it will inevitably be harder for them to learn to know God. What I do get sick of is atheists trying to force people to believe there is no God and that it's ignorant to be a Christian

there is no question of god's nonexistence

the only thing fundamental to all religions is that god/gods/godess/godesses do not exist

so what's left is to wonder when people will develop the mental strength to face the world without the mental crutch of god

as that gradually takes place around the world, the world, and humanity, becomes better

Oh, yes! As a Christian I feel like a lot of the questions are challenges to prove what I believe and defend why. I don't let them get to me.
