As a Christian, forgiving should come automatically. I'd say the harder part would be to forget, but even if it's not forgotten, to truly forgive, you must not bring it up again. Also forgiving doesn't constitute letting the person continue to do whatever it is you are forgiving them for. Protect yourself, but be kind.

I would say it's harder to forget.

I would also say that it isn't necessarily healthy to forget. Forgiving isn't about closing one's eyes to the sin and it doesn't mean the hurt isn't still there or that the slate is wiped clean or that the sinner doesn't have to face the consequences of the sin. Forgiving means to let go of the emotional stranglehold of the sin. When one is able to not wish vengence on the sinner, forgiveness has begun.

To forget - which is a good thing, because if you forgive, and also forget, then the person is most likely going to do it again because you forgot it happened.

I'd have to say forget. Once you realize forgiveness isn't for them, it's really for you; it makes it a little bit easier. We all know it's harder to live when we're on bad terms with someone, especaially those we're close to. Trying to forget someone just makes things harder and it never works anyway.

Well for me I can totally forgive a person, but it is always hard to Forget. There can be certain songs, smells, cities, pictures, foods, movies, days of the week, and people that will always remind you of that person you once hated!!! But I can say,... there are days where I forget maybe even weeks, but the memory is always going to be there!!!!

Its easier to forgive...
but tough to forget..
because, you forgive others to get a good feeling about yourself...
that you are so good that u forgave a person s sins..

but then we are not that magnanimous to let our good qualities go unnoticed..

It would be harder to forget. But I'm not sure why someone would want to forget... seems that would only make you gullible.
