:
He must know everything. Everything that is, everything that has been and everything that will be. To be able to know everything that will be he must know every position and every momentum of every particle in cosmos (Laplace's "World Spirit").
He must be worth our worship. A being that is not worth worshipping is no god.
He must be able to do anything. If there are things that god can't do, he certainly is not omnipotent.
He must be above time. Something that even St. Augustine deduced. But not only that, god must stand above all possible dimensions.
He cannot be 'good' or 'evil' or, indeed, have any subjective characteristica. If god is all good, he cannot do evil things and cannot be almighty. Most people would object and say that good can do evil but chooses not to do it. Well, if god is all good he can't choose to do evil things, can he?
If the evil in the world is intended by god he is not good. If it violates his intentions he is not almighty. God can't be both

As believers, we know that the devil is out to kill, steal, and destroy, and give the church of the living god a black eye. In your opinion, what is the most satanic thing ever done in the name of Christ?

Why do we trust God so much? Maybe he is the one lying to us and not Satan. Satan seemed to help mankind out by giving us knowledge. Kind of like Prometheus giving us fire.

God wants us to be ignorant and then will make us burn in Hell if we don't grovel before Him. Eternal torture for not confessing His name.

If He is as powerful as He claims, why does He need our love and service? Why not just accept what we give Him? I could care less if my pet turtle loves me. I am not going to cause it to burn in Hell for eternity if it doesn't. I just won't pay as much attention to it as I would otherwise.

Why does God need us? Why would God torture us if we don't submit?

This is the meanest board. If you go to the other boards, people are nice and give advice and answer questions with real answers. But as soon as you put religion in the mix, people get nasty. Why is it so different? People have their own views, but why get so nasty with each other? Why the sarcasm, and hate?

S'funny...don't you think, that Atheists are posting in the religious section. Almost as if they have to prove their point to every religious person around, why do you care? Maybe your conscience is bothering you...maybe not. I'm just curious. Seems like at least half the posts are from atheists.

There must be countless viewpoints and philosophies concerning if there is a God and who God is and how we fit into that fact or lack of it. Truth is not relative otherwise it would cease to be true. If I say that one can only be saved through faith in Christ and another says I can be saved by faith in myself, only one of those statements can be true. Especially in regards to the Bible that is quite clear in it's assertions.
My point is, many of you profess a belief, either in something, someone or nothing at all and many of you work off of those assumptions based on weak science, myths of men that had no established credance or illogical reasoning based on someone elses biased observations. I challenge any of you, prove that God's word is false, you can't do it and you never will!

In Leviticus, the bible condemns homosexuality as an "abomination", giving some Christians a reason to hate, harass, torture and kill gays and even picket their funderals with " God hates fags" signs. In the same book of the bible the eating of shellfish is equally an "abomination". Are these Christians planning to go after the patrons of Red Lobster next?
