Well, so far, all the responses are an excellent example of why people should NOT head toward religion. Spirituality is about being One with the deity of your choice. Religion is about politics. And ignorance, apparently.

i wager i'm in an similar situation, besides the actuality that i'm protestant, btw i do not imagine the church does say that the earth is 6000 years old. In my journey maximum Christians settle for the idea of evolution. besides, i comprehend the way you experience, i have been there - did not truly comprehend even if i turned right into a Christian or no longer because I wasn't fullyyt chuffed by using Christianity and felt rather cynical about it, yet at the same time had considered and experienced issues which i could not clarify or overlook about. i imagine the completed Adam and Eve component is symbolic of how people grew to develop into faraway from God. it must be rather extraordinary if the bible contained a medical rationalization of how the earth changed into created - the introduction tale does say stuff changed into created interior a similar order as evolution may have occured. e.g. flora, then animals, then people etc. also, i really hate the theory that maximum individuals on yahoo solutions look to have that faith and technological understanding are antagonistic.

I believe what the Bible says. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He died and rose again. As far as religion is concerned, I will go to any church that believes the way I do, but I am a Christian, and do not define myself by a certain religion or denomination.

The struggle between religion and spiritualism is like the struggle between two monkeys fighting in a barrel, fun to watch , but all rather silly.

Forget religion.

Christ is the path of salvation.
Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Christ is the tree of life.

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Spiritualism.. the community is much more loving and understanding then that of organized religions.. if one does believe in the idea of a God, higher being or divine power, isn't it much easier to do so to believe it (I refuse to call God a he or she) wouldn't even think of sending you to hell?

I'm a spiritualist who believes in God but also in the theory of evolution. *Shocking* I know but I don't believe in the bible so its allowed ;)

Both. We need a personal relationship with God, and we need to live in community.
