You might be interested in Gnosticism. Some gnostics believe that the creator god is a Demiurge named Ialdaboth who stemed from the true God, the One. That is why there is things like 'evil' because the Demiurge is not pefect, and it hates it's position in the universe. They go on futher to say that Jesus was a savior from the real god, the One, to help save man from the Demiurge.
It sounds a bit out there, but these early Christians came up with many of the same ideas you are touching on. Take a look.

I really like this question as, in many ways, I ask this question all the time. I'm sure most people will quote the Bible and go on and on but... How do we know what is really in the Bible? Do we trust the translators of nearly 2000 years?
Besides, who is to say that the Bible is not just one big hoax or more probably just another book on Mythology? Most people today would say there is no such God as Zeus or Mars because that is just "not possible". Those same people will blindly read a book that is actually a compilation of "Short stories" collected over 2000 years ago in another language. Hmmm...
So, is God lying to us? Does he (or she) really exist? Is the Bible just a book that was invented as a means to an end when there was a lot of lawlessness in the world? Or maybe, what we (or our ancestors) call God is nothing more than alien visitors from another planet?
What would happen today if someone said, "Worship me or else you will live in pain throughout eternity!", "Don't worship other Gods, I am the only God and I am the best God!", "I and I alone decide if you spend eternity in bliss or damnation!"
Sounds like a candidate for the loony bin if you ask me!

You seem to use us and we when you talk about God.You even capitalize God.That tells me that you are or were a believer. Now you question Gods word is a lie.You have a choice of who or what you believe in.I had and sometimes still have questions about what the word tells us to do,but know i can get the answers i need from people i trust to tell me the truth. He gives us his work in the bible so that we won't be ignorant. If you take a good look at the way things are going in the world today, you'll see that the bible speaks of war, famine, killing, men deceiving each other for personal gain. That is what man has brought upon himself, not God.The word is humble yourself, not grovel, there is a different.I talk to Him,no begging,no pleading, talk and ask for forgiveness for My sins.Thank Him for my health and my families health. He does not need us,we need Him.If you think that we can go though this life without being guided by His love and Passion for us,in my opinion your wrong.I'd rather believe in a being that can guide me and my family through good and bad times, not Satan. He is the one that is out to get people into hell right along with him so they can burn for eternity. There are a lot of us burning in hell right now here on this earth, simply because we choose to follow Satan and not the one who delivers use from hell.

We are a part of God. The concept of eternal torture is nowhere found in the Bible. In fact, the concept of natural immortality was the first lie Satan told us: "You shall not surely die..." The Bible says over and over and over again that we shall "perish," "die," "die the second death," "the righteous shall walk on their ashes," etc, referring to the second death at the end of time and almost at the end of the book of Revelation. Satan did not give us knowledge. We "knew" good and evil, not because Satan had taught us, but because we had now done both good and evil. This is not the teaching of a loving friend, but of a hateful usurper.

firstly, God does not need us we need him. second, satan has never helped us not even close. The only thing he did was turn us away from God by demand our subservience of him. Third, God has bent over backwards to help us even so far as to allow his own son to by tortured for our sakes God gets nothing out of the deal that he can't create in a heartbeat. Lastly, if God has lied, even once, everything will cease to exist because evil cannot stand in the presence of God.

There are too many aspects to your question that need answering, so I wil deal with just one aspect,
HELL The word "hell" is found in many Bible translations. In the same verses other translations read "the grave," "the world of the dead," and so forth. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original-language words that are sometimes rendered "hell"; that is, they express them with the letters of our alphabet but leave the words untranslated. What are those words? 'The Hebrew she'ohl', and its Greek equvalent hai'des, which refer, not to an individual burial place, but to the common grave of dead mankind;also the Greek ge'en-na, which is used as a symbol of eternal destruction. However, both in Christendom and in many non-Christian religions it is taught that hell is a place inhabited by demons and where the wicked, after death, are punished {and some believe that this is torment} Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10 "The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are concious of nothing at all....All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work, nor devising nor knowlege nor wisdom in Sheol, the place to which you are going. [ if they are concious of nothing, they obviously feel no pain] King James Bible states at Acts 2:25-27 David speaketh concerning him[Jesus] Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. [The fact that God did not leave Jesus in hell implies that Jesus was in hell, or Hades, at least for a time, does it not? Hell [DY] death, NE, the place of death, Kx the world of the dead. TEV Hades /// Revelation 20: 13, KJ bible; The sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them; and they were judged according to their works. So hell is the place of the dead, from which we'll be called to arise from-resurrection. At the Bible book of Titus:2 upon the basis of a hope of the everlasting life which God, Who Cannot Lie, promised before times long lasting.

First off, interesting conspiracy theory. Its like the conspiracy theory to end all conspiracy theories... lol.
Of course, bad people on earth can still do good things on accident... so why not Satan, in his attempt to ruin mankind? He actually helped us out quite a bit when he tried to spoil God's new creation. It is a blessing in disguise, this knowledge and inginuity we possess. You know, not even really in disguise anymore.... This lesson, not really talked about, tells us another importance of the existence of evil. Even evil is not 100% evil. There is a hint of good in Satan, because he is one of God's creations. Without it, there is no balance.
About him making us 'grovel before him' or burn in hell, I don't really think he asked for too much of that. All we have to do is simply acknowledge his existence. It is hard-wired into us to feel good for doing good things... and so, that technically is not even necessary (good deeds) to get into heaven. Is it really that big a deal to look around the world, witness his miracles, and simply say 'yeah, God, you're here.'???
So if God would follow your rules, he should just pay less attention to the ones that don't love Him? Now, I really doubt THAT would help convince them of his mercy or compassion...
And I don't think its about power... God, assuming him to be as powerful as we all say, technically the creator of Satan even, could easily wipe him out of existence... but why should he? What would be the point of it all if not a lesson on wisdom? I assume that the evil must be there for the good to exist. God knows, I would say, that he could try to make this world a paradise devoid of evil, and not even need heaven, but He gave us free will. This prevents him from omitting one of our options, the choice to do evil. It would not really be very nice to give us a questionairre with the answers He didn't like removed from it... would it?
God needs us, we need him. It is in balance.

I trust God because I have studied the bible for years and years. And I have seen the things in His word proven true.
I cannot, however, convince you or anyone to trust Him. God doesn't want you to be ignorant, not at all. In the bible, He says "come, let us reason together".
I hope that you can come to know the true nature of God. His love, mercy, compassion, forgiveness...many of your questions would be answered by this discovery.

well, it's because God hates you. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy. But, he just doesn't like you. Apparently, he was originally going to let everyone into heaven, but he found out you existed. So, therefore, God changed the rules to insure you didn't make it in. No offense, i'm just relaying the message.
