....exactly, the word of God has been given to us...if your a believer then you have the revelation of the truth within you..its not somthing that is taught to you by men...the church can expound on ideas and help us practice the truth but what anyone is saying should be weighed with the balance of the revelation that the Holy Spirit gives us. So, its not what the church wants you to believe....forget the church and other humans for a moment...this is between you and God...seek the truth for yourself and you will find it.

Books have been written to answer your question. But briefly, I think we can say that if the Bible was inspired by God it is the truth. Was it inspired by God? Consider that the Bible is actually a collection of 66 "books" written by some forty authors, in three different languages, on three different continents, over a period of 1,500 years all with the same theme (the redemption of Man) without a single contradiction among them. Some would question the latter, but when you consider the context and get the translation correct, there are no contradictions. Now, try to name five books written over any period by different authors even in the same language that have no contradictions. It can't be done. The Bible is nothing less than a devinely inspired miracle. It is truth. Then consider all the events (over 300) involving the Messiah that where prophesized hundreds of years earlier in the scriptures and actually happened as predicted. You don't need faith (at least I don't) to recognise the truth of the Bible; you only need an open and logical mind.

What church can you believe today?
They are ALL wrong on one point or another.
The best thing to do is find the one that preaches and practices the teachings that are the closest to the Scriptures.
But if you want PROOF that the Bible is real, you must
sincerely ask God to prove it to you by giving you a
supernatural experience with God.
But the only way He will do that is if He sees that you are sincere in wanting to truly personally know Him.
He knows your heart if this is genuine or merely a question of curiosity.
God is the Bible so to know your Bible is to know God
but its all dead letter without a genuine experience with Him in your heart.
When that happens, you no longer question whether His Word is the Truth or not.

Archeology has proven the accuracy of the Bible.
History has also.
As we watch the prophecies being fullfilled before our eyes, we should keep in mind Jesus' parable about watching the leaves of the tree fall and knowing winter is on the way.

The words from the Bible were written before the Christian church was born. They were, however, compiled after the fact.

The bible in the end is a book. Books are written by people and people aren't always truthful. You can take it from here.

It's all about faith.
I am sure the way the Bible is presented is going to be slanted by the church. But you ultimately decide to believe it or not. Read it yourself and see what you think of it all.

The bible consists of books that had been carefully picked by the church and the rulers back then in their favor. Yet, it is still full of absurdities.
