I've spent the last 3 years searching for what is in my heart and I've found it and it sure wasn't Bible-God.

Should I choose to deny what is in my heart and just believe in the Bible?

Is that how this belief stuff stuff works?

I deny everything I feel and believe and start participating in the rituals, babbling the chants and tithing and then I get rewarded for all eternity in Heaven?

Considering how Leviticus is considered old law, and that Christians do not obey it anymore, why do they always use it to defend homosexuality being an "abomination"?

My Pastor claims that the gift of tongues was only for use by the church until the bible was complete, and after the word of God was complete, tongues ceased to be a gift given by God. He says that any so called christian in today's last day church who speaks in tongue is either a carnal christian who has fallen away from the truth to indulge in the flesh, or is a demon possessed unbeliever who is being used by Satan to usher in the great falling away of the last days. I have a few friends who seem to be good Christians who speak in tongues, and I am therefor of two minds on the matter. What should I tell my pastor? I realize the scriptures seem to back him up, but is he taking the bible to literally and going to far?

Are not all children perfectly imperfect? Is not wisdom for all houses, and not one house over another?

... why does it seem that most Christians believe differently?

Seballienism, or modalism, was rejected as heresy by the Ecumenical Councils. Why is it still taught so frequently in Christianity.

While the three are one essence, they are separate in all other ways. The Father is not the Son. The Son is not the Father. They are separate but equal.

What is the purpose of prayer? What can a finite being on Earth possibly tell an omnipotent, omniscient deity that he doesn't know already?

I am emphasizing the word "common" here, people.
I just want to know if you have recognized any interesting things about religions, languages, cultures that seem to have a common basis in principle, idea, structure, symbol, characters in persons or creatures, etc...

ok all these names. i am sunni..i am shia...i am sofi...i am wahabi...i am ahmadi. while in fact those names did not exist during prophet Muhammad and never mentioned in the Quran.

dosen't matter if Abu-bakr, or Ali, or Hisham take the lead 1400 years ago? Islam should never be divided. your book is the Quran, and the sealed of the prophets is Muhammad.

all what God ask for in the Quran is to follow the path of Abraham.
Quran ch4
[125] And who can be better in religion than one who submits his face (himself) to Allâh and he is a Muhsin (a good-doer - see V.2:112). And follows the religion of Ibrâhîm (Abraham) ......"

so muslims please just say i submit and surronder to Allah alone, and i am muslim.

In the few weeks i've been a part of this forum, I often see people quoting The Gospel of Judas and the Holy Qur'an in an effort to discredit the Bible. While I will admit that there are a number of people who have misinterpreted the Bible and used that misinterpretation to bring havoc to the people they don't like... I can't understand why more effort isn't put into discrediting the people or groups who are causing the offense instead of attacking the Bible and its teachings. Is there any chance that people attack the Bible because they feel threatened by it and its message???

I welcome all answers and intelligent dialogue... however I would appreciate actual responses and not just people telling me how stupid I am... I have younger siblings who can do that for me. Thanks.

I've read the Bible both KJV and NIV, I've tried the Gnostic Gospels, I've tried the Catholic Church, Baptist Churches, Churches of God, Kingdom Halls, Seventh Day Adventist Churches, Pentecostal Churches, I've looked through telescopes, microscopes and periscopes, rode planes, trains and automobiles, been underground, overground and wombled free, I've read the arguments of a couple of Christian philosophers and checked out the websites that argue in support of Christianity and I have yet to find this "God"

What?

Did I forget to order the 3D glasses or something?

Quran: verse 4:156-159 "That they rejected Faith; That they uttered against Mary A grave false charge; That they said (in boast): 'We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.' But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjunction to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (Jesus) Before his death; And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness Against them.

Gospel of Judas: "But you wil exceed all of them, for you will sacrifice the man that clothes me."

Curse me or deny it all you please, but the truth of the matter is that Judas was probably singled out and picked on by the other apostles out of jealousy and misunderstanding.

I think many of you simply don't want to know the truth, even if it struck you on the head as lightening. To profess a 'need' for a Saviour, to admit the fact that you can't be saved on your own or that all the gibberish that has been forced down your throat from High School and College professors all these years is a bunch of bunk for many is too big of a pill to swallow.
The truth is the Bible predicts that many will still reject God in the end, even when the truth is as plain as day simply because as Tom Cruise said it " They can't handle the truth!"

I have read and learned about the Bible. I am a Christian and I havn't seen that anywhere. I mean Lot's daughters got him drunk and slept with him got preggers and God didn't do anything about it. Solomon had many concubines and mistresses- hmm no marriage there... in the Jewish custom back then it was considered ok to entertain your guests with offering your wife or daughters, Judah had sex with whom he thought was a prostitute but it was Tamar his daughter in law, Onan slept with his dead bros wife,. I could go on but what grounds support the statement of no premarital sex. I know of fornication but those acts up there negate the meaning of what fornication really is?!

I asked this question earlier but most people just said I shouldn't call God unfair. THIS QUESTION IS DIRECTED TO THOSE WHO THINK THEIR IS ONLY ONE PATH TO GOD AND TAKE THE BIBLE LITERALLY. What happened to the Native Americans and Aboriginal peoples who do had NO WAY of knowing of God's existance until Europeans contacted them. Did they go to Hell just because God didn't send them a prophet or messanger and, therefore, couldn't accept Christ? Or were they judged by their deeds? Please don't give me anything about "God has his reasons", what do YOU think?

This is the guy that says cheating is watching tv, going out, and etc. The other day I did a singing performance in front of lots of people, and he did everything he could, went there, and said Im a cheater, and that if i loved him I wouldnt do that.

i dunno what else to do, he hasnt gave up, all of u said he would. Hes getting worse, trying to contact me, showing up at my house, everything.

One day I hung out with a good guy friend, just as friends, and he called me a cheater, but the funny thing is he hung out with a girl.

I need help what to do, i dont deserve this.;..Im listening to God, and doing everything. Im praying like crazy, and just praising God.
