ok all these names. i am sunni..i am shia...i am sofi...i am wahabi...i am ahmadi. while in fact those names did not exist during prophet Muhammad and never mentioned in the Quran.

dosen't matter if Abu-bakr, or Ali, or Hisham take the lead 1400 years ago? Islam should never be divided. your book is the Quran, and the sealed of the prophets is Muhammad.

all what God ask for in the Quran is to follow the path of Abraham.
Quran ch4
[125] And who can be better in religion than one who submits his face (himself) to Allâh and he is a Muhsin (a good-doer - see V.2:112). And follows the religion of Ibrâhîm (Abraham) ......"

so muslims please just say i submit and surronder to Allah alone, and i am muslim.

first of all, i would like to state that this was foretold by Mohamed (peace be upon him)

And this Ummah will divide into seventy-three sects all of which except one will go to hell and they (i.e. the Saved Sect) are those who are upon what I and My Companions are upon (i.e. those who follow My Way and the Way of my Companions.)" [Reported by at-Tirmidhee - Hasan]

now, i sense that you are not necessarily looking for an answer but are just complaining. but basically, in Islam, we should practice it the way the companions of the Prophet and the Prophet himself practiced it. that is who the salafis are.

It would be so nice if peace existed all over the place, but such is not the way of the world. Even Muhammad had to fight his way to the top. His descendants have been fighting ever since.

I agree and those who want to subjugate Muslims love the divisions created in a religion that should have absolutely no division! If it is not in the Quran, then it should not be tolerated.

I totally respect your awareness brother.
Yes, you are totally right. The Prophet PBUH united us and never divided us. We should name ourselves only with the name that ALLAH has called us. ALLAH The Most Wise has called us Muslims and so we are.

for the same reason, why are there Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Baptist, Lutheran, Evangelical, Methodist, Episcopalian, Adventist, Charismatic, Mormon, and other Christians? none of these existed when Jesus was around, and none are mentioned in the New Testament.

Well, Protestant, Baptist, Methodist, Morman, JW didn't exist back in the day either, only the Catholic Church. It's all just different views of different people which keeps the world going.
