Quran: verse 4:156-159 "That they rejected Faith; That they uttered against Mary A grave false charge; That they said (in boast): 'We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.' But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjunction to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (Jesus) Before his death; And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness Against them.

Gospel of Judas: "But you wil exceed all of them, for you will sacrifice the man that clothes me."

Curse me or deny it all you please, but the truth of the matter is that Judas was probably singled out and picked on by the other apostles out of jealousy and misunderstanding.

The gospel of Judas was written about 180 A.D. by a group of heretics called Gnostics who believed that Jesus was only a man and not God.

Catholics of both of that time and now do not believe it is true or inspired by God.

This is clearly shown when Catholics selected which gospels and other writings should be included in the New Testament, the gospel of Judas was not included.

With love in Christ.

I'd like to see anyone survive the beating Jesus endured, or the crucifixion. The cat of nine tails is nine braided leather straps with sharpened pieces of bone, stone, and glass weaved in. It is then dipped in lambs blood, one of the stickiest substances they had at the time. It did not just cut, it tore chunks of muscle and bone out of the body. After his lashes internal organs were likely visible. As far as surviving a cross, large nails were driven through his wrists (the roman definition of a hand extends half way up the fore arm). This severs the nerves that control his hands, an more nails through his ankles severing the nerves that control his feet. The executioner, the man who proclaimed Jesus dead, would have served for twenty years before overseeing a Crucifixion on his own, and the punishment for pulling someone off of a cross early was death. The Bible also say that blood and water flowed when he was pierced in the side. This means that blood plasma had separated from the red and white blood cells, something that only happens some time after death.

Okay, I've read the Sanhedrian Papers, The Gospel of Judas Iscariot, several times. That version differs from yours. According to the book I read, Judas already knew he was chosen to betray Jesus and Jesus knew as well but He didn't deny Judas to follow. According to the Sanhedrian Papers when Judas by his own account, turned Jesus in, he collected his pay and departed shortly thereafter, not able to bear what he had done. He stated he fled to solitude.

Mom has the book right now, if you want to know more email me and I will have my hands on the book this weekend and can get back with you Monday.

And the Gospel of Judas was written...when?

WAY too late to have a true eye witness .

And not by Judas, but by others in Judas' name...

and and and... and you aregoing to believe this crap?

I'm not saying there isn't a book entitled the Gospel of Judas. I'm just saying it's not true.

Once again:

Not within the time of Christ or Eye witnesses

Does not follow the "spirit" of the messages of Christ

Not even written by the person it's named after

(Which by the way... the gospel according to Mary Magdelein is the same thing...it TOO doesn't meet any of those requirements!)

There was no islam in the time of Jesus and the Roman soldier stabbed Jesus in the side to see if he was still alive on the cross.
Amazing how Judas wrote his gospel 200 years after he killed himself but it was written by the Gnostic's as was the gospel of St, Thomas.
Boy, are you dumb.

it is truly not known how much the actual events that took place have been changed

It is widely believed that the catholic Church has vilified women for their own purposes, (that is a huge discus ion)
it is purported that Judas was vilified beyond his actual actions, there are writings that suggest Judas was acting on behalf of Jesus not necessarily in betrayal but an accessory to a larger plan
There is so much more, look into dead sea scrolls and perhaps Jesus did not die on cross but part of Jewish resistance against Rome
Masada Israels sacred site would also require investigation

The Gospel of Judas is a false gnostic gospel written much later than anything in the Bible. Add to that that your only other supporting documentation is the Quran which was also written much later than the Bible and is not part of the Christian faith, then I have to reject everything that you have quoted.

Don't spout the quran or whatever to a true Christian and expect him to believe it. There is no such thing as the Gospel of Judas, and if there were, he is outnumbered by eleven more Apsotles. Judas was false from the start, that is what Jesus tells us.

The bible clearly states that in the last days there will be many false prophets, and the Antichrist. That's why we got di vinci code, and now Judas book, and others, as well as more to come, I'm sure. There is only ONE way to God and that is through the Son, and only one book that is the true word of God and that's the Bible.

Give me a break! The Gospel of Judas was not written by Judas. It was written hundreds of years after the fact by people who weren't there to witness anything!

Believe what you want. The world loves a conspiracy, doesn't it?
