Religion & Spirituality - 16 July 2006

Ok, I go to church regulary with my daughter, my husband believes in God but isn't growing, this is tough for me. I keep stumbling and falling making mistakes, not reading my bible enough or sometimes my prayer life isn't what it should be, there is also times I bust my self cussing when I now least disire to. My shurch congreation is very small and isn't growing much and I was doing displeship till the person leading me can't meet at all in months, should I stay at that church or look onward at other churches and how do I keep stregthened when I am weak, you know when you feel so unworthy or so back slidden or alone and just can't get it together, I love Jesus and want to live life as he wants me too, and somehow help my husband growning too.

turn to jesus today jesus loves satan hates u wants to burn in hell 4 ever tell jesus u are a sinner and call on him ask him to forgive you of you sins.

Or, if you are a muslim, then why are you an atheist about the god jesus, or the god shiva?

Funny how we are all atheist when it comes to specific gods. When you understand why you reject all those other gods, perhaps then you will understand why I and they reject your god. Fact: Atheism is not a religion, but all religious persons are atheists. In other words we share common grounds. Everyone who post here may not be religious, but we are all atheist.

i am a christian and i have fallen away from gods good graces...i have been having sex out of marriage,i smoke ciggerettes, i hardly pray anymore, my language has gotten rediculous. i am analyzing myself and i have notice that i have not grown in my spiritual life i am backsliding...my worst fear is him telling me that i cant come in....do you think that its possible for me to get forgiveness from him? and for me to get back to the way that i was in my spiritual life?

We may not be able to combat all evil in the world, but we can eliminate problems one step at a time and we can do things to make our part of the world a better place.

I think the old Testament also prescribes some barbaric punishments, but no Christian or Jew now suports them and none of their countries imposes them. They are in fact an embarassment, only kept in the books for historical reasons. They are a reminder of the savage times the human race has travelled through.

The criticism of civilised people of the Islamic books is because virtually all Muslims blinly and automatically support everything them and argue that they are correct.

The excuses they often make that they require stringent proof or that they are rarely applied are completely without merit because they still imply support.

The only excuse that might make the Islamic religion begin to be respectable would be to say " Yes such punishments are barbaric, no longer acceptable and we are working for their abolition". What do you think?

I've heard of some people say the got signs when they prayed and asked for a sign. I was just curious as to if this could work so I can figure out what I should really do about my current problem. Thank you.

Someone chucks a brick through my window and kills my daughter. I decide the guilty party is a guy in another suburb we all dislike. I spread the word this guy is guilty and get everyone agreeing, but he denies it. I even get a few envelopes, put in some poison and mail them off to some neighbours. I spread the word this guy sent the poison and get everyone gossiping (he’s trying to kill again) and get them hating him more.

I go out and mount a surprise attack on his house. Throw in a some fire bombs, shoot bullets through his window, try to kill him. I miss, but kill a few of his friends and his house explodes because of a gas leak, killing a couple of his innocent neighbours.

Later I find out he didn’t throw the brick through my window, and was never involved. I just made a mistake and killed innocent people. Am I guilty of murder, homicide or what, after all he was still a bad guy?

I only ask because my actions seem no different than that of G W Bush invading Iraq.

Let's say I killed 100 people in cold blood and on my day of execution I ask Jesus to be my personal saviour. Will I then go to Heaven? It's a shame some of my victims are probably in Hell right now. Oh well, them's the breaks!
