God is an illusion invented by people with mortal life spans living in a dangerous world.
I think religion is a natural extention of two things: our biology - having parents who created us and hopefully loved us and sometimes disciplined us - gives us a natural explanation of where we came from. By expanding on this idea we get an explanation of where everything and everyone came from, Big Parents in the Sky.
It is interesting to note that most Gods and Goddesses are human like beings, divine parents. I don't know of any mythologies that say humans were created by insects, or grew on trees like apples, or were hatched out of eggs by birds.
The other natural cause of religion is our awareness of our frailty, insignificance and mortality. It is almost intolerable to think we will just cease to exist, that our existence - so important to us - is actually not very important at all, and that we can be wounded or killed at any moment by a stroke of bad luck.
Religion slaps a band aid on those psychological wounds and prevents us from looking at them too closely. It gives us the illusion of importance and immortality and control. This illusion might be a necessary crutch to allow us to get through our lives without having some kind of mental breakdown.
The religion itself might be an illusion, but the needs that create it are very real, IMO.

god is the man who created the world along with all the people in the world.thats how and why you have a life to live.there is a god.dont ever say there is not a god cuz den you go to hell wen the end of the world comes.and if you do good things you will go to heaven.

Point of light (Supreme soul). Without this body we're souls. He is beyond life & death. He has all the qualities & virtues that we have lost.
He does not exist everywhere, otherwise He won't allow things to go wrong. he resides in His supreme abode, Soul world. We were once from there & will return there.
