This is just a point I am trying to make, and I am catholic. It is MY personal belief that GOD made it possible for everything to be here and not actually making it, persay.

good question dude... and also... if it was created in 7 seven days and God is almighty, why did he take 7 days if he could have done it all in way less than a second... also, why did he have to rest on the 7th day? if he's God, could he be just always rested? and since then has he taken any breaks?

Youre precise he couldve created earth into life in a blink of a watch, yet he chosen to no longer. He labored 6 days and rested on the seventh. He did that as an occasion for us to do. as properly, he wouldnt be God if he did it that way as a results of fact God is a private & creative God. He wasnt in any style of rush. It only is going to coach you that God is God. If he blinked his eyes & earth existed, properly, wheres the creativity in that?! Wheres the comfortable loving care? God wouldnt be God if he did it in any different case. It only wouldnt make sense if God did it that way. i like the indisputable fact that God took his helpful time. What a great God we serve!

According to the islamic philosiphy,
Allah the Almighty created everything in six days and then based on his throne.
As far as the time is concerned, Allah the Almighty has no binding with timing.
In quran, Allah the Almighty says:
When he intends to create something, he says 'be' and it becomes in existence.
Therefore, there is no question of how long tha day was.
Please note that I translated the quranic verse according to my vocabulary, pls. see the english translation of quran for accurate wording.

According to the original Greek, the word for day, "yom", in the context used in Genesis, was a literal 24 hour day.

With God a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years as a day.
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
