make fun of those people who seemingly ask serious questions? I know there are a lot of people on here that ask some really dumb or say some really hurtful things but for the most part the questions seem to me to be looking for honest answers. Especially on this forum. I am not a christian and my beliefs are mine but i like to learn new things and if one is going to get bashed for asking a question then they will not want to ask them any longer and therfore they will stop learning. Now my question is why would anyone want to stop another from expanding their horizons?

The more you know The more you grow.

I noticed while going to a Methodist church that it was the exact same preaching as my Baptist church. So why are they named different if they teach from the same book?

Fundies on the loose again! How we love these religious creatures!

How do you stop it? Reading this blurb I dont think you can.

The Message is aimed at the world's 1.4 billion Muslims, many of whom have been engaged in a civil war of ideas for the last three centuries, the period of Muslim political decline. The successive fall of mighty Muslim empires, such as the Moghuls in India and eventually the Ottomans in the Middle East, led Muslims to inquire into the causes of their downfall. Instead of recognizing scientific and intellectual stagnation as the reason for their lack of material progress, many early Muslim revivalists attributed Muslim debility to a combination of Western conspiracies and Muslim neglect of military preparedness.

Is there anything written in the Bible that says in detail/ enumerated "the responsibilities and duties" of a husband to his wife? Please don't refer to the verse that says "husbands love you wife like Jesus loves the church" because some men don't know the meaning of that verse.

One spouse is very Christian based, has accepted the Lord as Savior, goes to church and raises the children as Christian. The other spouse is an alcoholic, has told the Pastor they don’t know if they believe they are saved and they never go to church. Because of alcohol the spouse is very abusive verbally to their family. Or scenario two… the unsaved spouse cheats in the marriage.

Please base your answers on scripture...

i find it fascinating how deeply black christians practice their faith and believing that christianity is their passage to heaven.

is it not ironic that the same bible that was used to promote and validate slavery is embraced by the very people who were enslaved?

do you think that maybe christianity was forced upon blacks as a way to control them and make them even more submissive? i'm just curious to know how it is that black slaves were able to turn their backs on their african religions so quickly.

(i'm black and practice no particular religion. i ask this question not out of ignorance but just out of curiousity and to generate some honest opinions)

God created us, from what, there could be nothing but God itself. Why do so many think we are separate from God rather than just part of God?

I just read an answer from a muslim on here and they didn't really answer the question but they put that Jews and Christians will burn in hell because that's what the koran says. Well does this make sense to you? Muslims think that Christians and Jews are going to hell, well what about hindus, buddhists, etc...where are they going? Do you think that muslims only want to get rid of Christians and Jews because they know that our God is the only true one which is why they hate us? I mean they don't seem to worry about buddhists, hindus, etc.--only Christians and Jews who have the same God. Doesn't that make sense that people (not just muslims, but others too) are only trying to get rid of the followers of the real God? Is that why we're hated? Because you know our God is the real one? Seems like it to me...

Is it true that orthodox Jews are not allowed to speak the word "yahweh" (God)? I heard this is out of reverence that they cannot use that word verbally. Is that true?

Lots of replies in the earlier question that they would trust a coloured christian over a white atheist etc. Now i wanna ask them why only trust a christian? Why not ppl of other faith or no faith? Trust is about faith! Does christianity ask you to not trust non-christian? If you are not rascist you are still prejudiced! Yes, and i used one word coloured for black, brown, yellow purple whatever to fit it in the question space! nothing offensive about it! Better to be colored than colorless!

Like, Hearing damage, or Knee damage or Impotence or chest and stomach pains. Nobody has it but you seem to be the only suffering.. and everyone around you just continues their happy life.

Is there a purpose to having all this... do you sometimes feel like you were chosen to be an example...?
but what if people don't even care about you. and don't want to take your case and learn from it. Example i have hearing damage from loud music, and i keep telling my parents and relatives, but they don't even care and they keep listening to loud music..

I've seen many postings here about parents forcing their religion on small children. Personally, I believe they are doing what they feel is 'right', but I've also read many postings about how this practice could be considered abusive.
What are the pros and cons of this practice?
