Lots of replies in the earlier question that they would trust a coloured christian over a white atheist etc. Now i wanna ask them why only trust a christian? Why not ppl of other faith or no faith? Trust is about faith! Does christianity ask you to not trust non-christian? If you are not rascist you are still prejudiced! Yes, and i used one word coloured for black, brown, yellow purple whatever to fit it in the question space! nothing offensive about it! Better to be colored than colorless!

You speak the truth but ignorance prevails and people won't open their minds to a new idea.

****I have a hard time trusting an athiest, because if there is no eternal repercussions for your actions on earth, then why wory about what you do? Do whatevery you want and if you don't get caught, you don't pay for it. ***

So I guess Antonio is saying that all Christians are pure and have never commited a sin, never lied, cheated, stolen..... It's absurd in our society to believe that because someone claims to be of faith that they adhere stictly to those moral values. It's pure ignorance to say that because someone is atheist that they are more likely to commit a crime etc. since they don't have to deal with consequences in the after life.

I personally know atheists that I would gladly trust over my the Christian friends that I have. It has nothing to do with their faith but rather their moral character! Just because you say your Christian doesn't mean you abide by a moral code.

An initial amount of trust is given to every person when you meet them. The amount is based on pre-existing ideas about the kind of person they seem to be due to appearance and speech. I would trust a Christian over someone of another faith because I know that a Christian thinks the same way that I do. A Christian has generally the same moral and ethical code and will provide advice or help based on that moral code. Someone of another faith might tell me to get in touch with nature to solve my problems instead of telling me to seek God and the wisdom of his word and children.

Basically... would you trust an electrician to construct your roof or a roofer. They are both construction professions... just different areas of construction.

God Bless!

Because when dealing with a christian, regardless of race, you know the person has some sort of moral code they follow. I have a hard time trusting a Muslim because I've dealt with Muslims many times in the past, and their moral code is very differant from a Christian's. I have a hard time trusting an athiest, because if there is no eternal repercussions for your actions on earth, then why wory about what you do? Do whatevery you want and if you don't get caught, you don't pay for it.

Very good question.

Most people chose to let a label make up their mind rather than actually THINK about whether a person can be trusted.

I will admit to that prejudice myself some times, if a person introduces themselves by saying "I am a Christian" I count my fingers after the hand shake. And if a company logo has a fish on it and they are not selling bait, I refuse to do business with them. "By their fruits shall you know them" or something like that.

I would say people are more likely to trust others that share their faith because they generally know their morals, standards, etc. Also, if you know how someone is "supposed" to treat you, that person is held more accountable. Of course, that doesn't mean they'll always be completey honest or never let you down. People are people, regardless of all the religious mumbo jumbo.

Excuse me---:-) I shall be prejudiced in favor of Christian brothers and sisters till the day I die. I pray for the others but would rather do business with someone I know to be a fellow believer. And guess what??? It is my decision who I do business with.....and that ain't no prejudice---that is just good business sense. Hope you understand.

Forgive some of us, when we say "Christian" we are not referring to the mass of people who are not Jews, Muslim,Buddhist, etc. We really mean, born again, believers in Jesus Christ, who practice their Christianity each day. I would trust any born again believer over any non-believer, because we share a spiritual connection and are brothers and sisters, through our Heavenly Father. And though I reside in the deep south, color makes no difference.

I go to a non-denominational church, and the all different kinds of people, chines Japanese and lots of African Americans, also mixed relationships. I don't see how people can be raciest when where all children of god. God wants us all to love one another like he loves all of us, sinners the saved, and the colored. He see us all perfect.
