God created us, from what, there could be nothing but God itself. Why do so many think we are separate from God rather than just part of God?

What an excellent observation and question! I was beginning to think I was the only person in this country to perceive that everything has to be a part of the Creator. Logic alone tells us that if we choose to use our brains and not let someone else brainwash us with the dirty water of "religion."

Welcome to the club!

We all have our own consciousnesses, and are all separate beings. God is in us, and is a part of all of us, but we all have separate minds that define who we are.

How can you be separate from God? You ever stand in a room with someone you really can't stand? You don't want to talk to them, listen to them, or even acknowledge their existence. To you that person might as well not even be there. Some people take that same stance with God, and are truly separate from Him. Hell is the absence of God, and it's situations like these where people make it possible.

The Bible says that we are created in God's image but we are not God.
God breathed His Spirit into Adam and gave him life.
The only thing that separated us from God is sin in our lives. This is what happened in the Garden with Adam and Eve
When you are Born Again (repenting of one's sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour) the Holy Spirit comes and dwells in you giving you life just as he did with Adam!

This is where we become part of God!
The Bible says that God cannot dwell where there is sin, if there is sin in our lives God is not there. For God is Holy and is Spirit. Therefore separates us from God.

The way is like this. You are talking to God on the phone and you get disconnected by areas of broken fellowship (SIN). He is still on His end and you are still on your end, the connection is just broken. When you ask God for forgiveness, the connection is immediately repaired and you are back in direct commune with God. He never left you because he cannot sin. It had to come from you, but you have a advocate named Jesus, that died for any mistakes you might make. Just ask for forgiveness and move on. God is on the throne

I agree 100%. We are made of the same matter as God. We are each an individuation of God and together we make up the body of God.

The answer to your question lies in IMPERFECTION. Allow me to query you as follows: Why would a PERFECT being create anything that is short of PERFECTION? That's why we are separate from God (if there is one). On the other hand if you want to consider the collective spirit of humanity to be GOD than so be it! PEACE!

The bible says that our sin separates us from God, as He is a holy God. Forgiveness through salvation restores us to the Lord, and as we learn to walk with Him in obedience and trust, we will become one with Him.

Sin separates us from God because it is an act of defiance against God. Thankfully he forgives our sins and reassures us that we are his own children by the perfect sacrifice given in our place.. that is Jesus.

Heaven is eternity with God

Hell is complete seperation from God (not even the worst of worst is seperated from God... he is alknowing and in EVERYTHING all the time)

It's just a chocie... do they want God or not? They have a lifetime to decide.

Because God gave us all the freedom of free will and choice. We cannot be part of something that we choose not to believe in.
