This question is deeper then what appears at first glance. I thought before dimissing this question you might want to know I am an Agnotsic, not a Religious fanatic. The Big Bang will NOT be a sufficient answer for this question. If you are going to cite the Big Bang Theory, be prepared to explain what caused the Big Bang, then a LOGICAL chain of causation until the beginnings of "Existance" at large. I ask this because I am in the middle about there being a "Superior and/or Supreme" being or entity and your beliefs, please help to clarify.

There is so much hate and discrimination in the world. One side hates the other because they don't agree 100%, the other lashes out in retaliation, and eventually everyone's unhappy. Many Christians tend to believe that theirs is the ONLY opinion that matters or is correct, and many nonreligious people tend to generalize, and believe that all Christians are judgemental. There are so many wars forged because of a belief- shouldn't we be able to accept another person as a human being first, and then make up our mind about them through getting to know them?

And am I overly idealistic, or what?;-)

I'm a muslim, and its disturbing that Islam is badly misunderstood in Islam, you give me some quranic ayahs (real ones, not made up ones from bad sources) and i can justify them, and explain what they actually mean, because the true meaning isnt bad at all....its just the way you interpret them, as you may be able to interpret the meaning of a poem in many ways...

as a Christian, I find that it is more important to show love to people as opposed to shove Scriptures down their throat. So basically, my question is, what are Christians doing wrong and how can they/we do a better job of spreading God's Word.

Matthew 13:10-14 says that Jesus doesn't want everyone to understand what he's saying, so he speaks in parables to his disciples and most of the rest will go to hell. According to Revelation, only 144,000 souls can enter heaven (it probably sounded like a bigger number at the time than it does now...)

I was born a total heterosexual. I had the deepest crush on boys and was so infatuated with them. I would never ever have even considered the thought of being with another girl. Then I was raped and shortly after that I felt my mind forming in an odd direction. I felt the walls of heterosexuality fall down so quietly and gently. I struggled to pull them back up...tugging and pulling but I felt whatever it took to stay hetero just melt away. I started having bi times with other girls and yet still falling for boys at times. All I knew was that I had a huge hole blown in my soul and not of my choosing. it was like the invisible man came and blew it away. What does God think of me ? I want to be hetero 4 ever...I want to be a little girl again...and start over...Will He give me a miracle ? What should I pray ?

Religionist says, "evolution is hooee because there are still apes"?


I could just as easily ask: if there is a one true god, then why all the different faiths (Hindu, Jewish, Islam, Chtistianity, Zeus believers, and so on) and denominations within them?
Shouldn't they have picked a one true God by now; with the veracity to dispell all the others?
Of course I know that this feeble argument does not disprove an omnipresent Deity.

And more importantly, there are still apes because they are different species. Like there were sharks when the dinosaures were around, The sharks are still around being so well adapted to their environment.

isn't it unfair to teach children about Christianity before they learn about evolution or other beliefs?

Shouldn't a child have a fair chance to pick his or her belief?

By giving Christianity a head start, that's not fair

they collect all this donated money, dont pay any taxes and live like royalty, i thought that being servants of god meant living a humble and non-materialistic way of life.shouldn't they be using the donations to help those in real need? Do cardinals and bishops need to live in mansions or should they live a simple life and help starving children more often than they do?

there is lots of attacker and questions on assumed superstitions and contradictions of bible and Quran but there is not even a single question on assumed superstitions and contradictions of bhagwat gita(for Hindu bhagwat gita is like what bible is for Christian and Quran is for Muslim Hindu use to swear in the name of gita when they go as a witness in court ) and Veda Upanishads religious books of Hindu why?
total world populations app. 8-10 % are Hindus and many Hindu are here on this site yet there is not even 0.0001 % question for them on this site regarding above topic why?

Most children have asked their parents "who made God"? That's when the parents start the intimidation process. So, what the parents are doing is passing down the fear which can be considered child abuse. Just because YOU'RE afraid of the unknown, you have no right to pass that fear to your child. Agree or disagree?
