What are you talking about? Religion is a creation that comes out of the Bible to have man and women come to a place of worship. A religion designates a group of people you are with every Sunday or any other time during the week.
The spirituality portion I think you are talking about is what man is missing in some churches. That spirituality is an honest relationship withh God Himself. It is talking to your creator - Father - Abba. When you or anyone else has that relationship then it becomes personal like Abraham or Moses or anyone else in the Bible.
Let us take the Catholics they believe in praying to saints so they can present issues on your behalf to the Almighty. Hmmm, odd Abraham or Moses or Elijah never did that. They all prayed to God and even had personal conversations with Him. That is amazing
So, in saying all this, God will speak to you and only you in a special way. A way that is different from other believers.

Ultimately, you can't separate religion and spirituality, because spirituality requires some spiritual beliefs, which then makes it a religion, even if you are the only member.

i believe in being a good person and do as many kind deeds as you can, make someones day, make youself happy while ur helping others too, find a balance in life, be positive...make descisions based on a healthy conscience you dont have to follow a particular religion to do that...just live a life which is neither harmful to you or people and things in your surroundings..i guess in doing that you could find peace and inner happiness....isn't that spirituality is all about

Yes, there are some great books out there, including john horgan's Rational Mysticism. for a much older take on things, check out William James' The Varieties of Religious Experience, or do an amazon search for "The Joy of Sects".
There are plenty of varieties out there man. you'd be surprised what you find if you don't make up your mind ahead of time about what you're searching for.

There is a difference between religion that God establishes, and religion that man establishes. True religion is a relaitionship with God. Seek that.

definitely, isn't a shame that people think they know all there is to know, and then just stop searching for more answers to thoughts that they may not have even considered if it weren't for the quest for more knowledge
