THere is a bookstore in the vatican that is open to the public, they sell books and souvienrs, trinkets, religion crap like that. I was there. THe vatican is beautiful, to bad its just becoming a catholic disney land tho.

Yes, you may purchase religious items as well as secular souvenirs there.
After the cost of the item is deducted, the rest goes to Peter's Pence, a charity for the poorest of the poor. And yes, the Vatican gets a good discount so there's a decent amount for the charity.
Yes, any religious item, after purchase, may be blessed. Any priest will do so and there is no charge, of course.
No, Mostly they will NOT bless a secular souvenir.
