Deutronomy 5:12-15"12 "Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the LORD your God has commanded you. 13 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals, nor the alien within your gates, so that your manservant and maidservant may rest, as you do. 15 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the LORD your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day."

Now if this is true, think how many people on this planet work on Sunday. If w followed this rule, how many people would we have to kill? A lot. Explain this.

I just saw someone post a question regarding a spell for protection. The xians are jumping in and giving it the whole "pray to jesus. ask God. I don't believe in all that " .
Why do they bother answering the questions in the first place. If they know nothing about spellwork, why answer the question ? Don't they realise it makes them look more ignorant and bigoted ?
They are the first to complain when non believers answer THEIR questions, so why don't they set an example ?
Why do they give irrelevant, non-factual opinions to genuine seekers ?

After reading and considering the information published in THE DENIAL OF DEATH (E Becker), and many years of personally chasing the truths of numerous religions - seems to me that human egos need at least 'one' god, and an after-life. Living without a belief in either (pretty scary) comes very close to realizing John Lennon's message in 'Imagine'.

It is a religion. Those that believe in it are close minded an ridicule their own if they search for answers not proscribed by their desired view.Although almost every find has been either mistaken or revised or an out right fraud they still want us to believe them."Don't look at all the mistakes, those were in the past,we have it right now." Does this really instill trust and confidence in you?

This morning after church, as my family was leaving the parking lot, I witnessed members of our congregation "flipping the middle-finger" to at each other. These were adult males of their families and both had their wives and children in the cars with them. This incident provoked a discussion in my vehicle (family) about how this happens immediately after church. Are we really a Christian nation or to we invoke Christianity in name only? We still have a death penalty in the US, we still have poverty in our country. We seem to throw money at tragedies like New Orleans and Thailand. Why don't more churches condemn the fighting in Iraq, but heaven forgive the individual that would burn an American flag. Where are the priorities? Where is the forgiveness? Are we really practicing Christians or Christians in name only?

I know that many of you will think this cant be answered in one word, but that is the key! Take the time, dig deep and narrow it down to just one word!! Its way to easy to answer it in a sentence, Try one word.

I am curious to what people think it means to Live Life in Truth. I know what it means to me. I would like to share my opinion but I feel that may influence the direction or thought path that one will take when asking themselves this.

I wish you all well and challenge each and evey person to Life Life in Truth! Our words and actions are like drops of water, they have profound ripples that travel great distances. Many times effecting people we dont even know in ways we are never aware of.

The world could use a few more people living in truth, can you imagine what the world would be like if we all did!

God Bless

Atheists do not waste my time.

Christians, okay so the thoughts in my head go something like this:

"Wow I am feeling a huge swelling of pride"
"This particular type of pride is wrong"
"God please help not feel this pride"

...and then INSTANTLY I think "do this, or dont do that" as if my doing or not doing something is what i should do and ...like doing that or not doing that would be what God wanted and he might help me.

Okay I know that sounds insane and im gonna get all kinds if mean answers.

Is that the still small voice do you think? and do you think God makes deals or tells us what to do in that way?

What im looking for in an answer is no radical views. no long answers that i wont read. and scriptural evidence to back up whatever it is youre saying.

to whom it may concern,
1. Catholics do not worship idols. Catholics do not worship statutes. If I have a picture of Jesus in my home and pray in front of the picture, do I pray to the frame, the glass, the paper, the ink? I pray directly to Jesus. The same goes with statutes. If you hate images so much, why do you keep photos? statutes of any kind in your garden? Please, wake up and understand what God really wants. He does not care about the food you eat, pictures or statutes, work or not during the sabbath, circumcised or not, HE cares about our hearts. If you want to keep the old testament's rules: then keep them ALL - not just part of them and then attack others for not keeping the rest. Jesus has redemeed us all.
2. Catholics do not pray TO the dead, we pray FOR the dead, so that they may found rest in God afterlife.

On the Simpons. the church Pastor is presented as an out of touch, droning bore, the local christian family(The Flanders) are represented by a spineless cowardly father and hynotized, clueless kids. And the Family Guy takes shots at Christianity ever chance it gets. I like South Park because at lease it takes shots at everybody, but these Fox shows seem to have a specific agenda against Christianity.
