On the Simpons. the church Pastor is presented as an out of touch, droning bore, the local christian family(The Flanders) are represented by a spineless cowardly father and hynotized, clueless kids. And the Family Guy takes shots at Christianity ever chance it gets. I like South Park because at lease it takes shots at everybody, but these Fox shows seem to have a specific agenda against Christianity.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH
I love freedom of speech and poking fun at everyone, but lets be honest - how many of you freedom of speechers would not notice and complain if the only portrayals of latinos were as gangbangers, or homosexuals were as people with AIDS, or asians as poor english speakers.
You would have to agree that the repetitive deformation isnt allowed against any other groups except:
Christians
Poor whites/appalacians
Republicans/Bush
Remember it wasnt so long ago that black people were caricuturized all the time and society laughed it off as good clean fun.

Most stereotypes, are based in fact. Like these.
My favorite commentary is when Peter (family guy) is diagnosed as retarded. The doctor holds up a chart that reads from top to bottom;
Average
Retarded
Peter
Creationists
Which was not only VERY funny but 100% accurate too!

they make fun of other religions too. for example: on the simpsons, there is that hindu convenience store clerk called apu (adding to the fact that homer once went to india and became a "god"), lisa converted to buddism, krusty the clown is jewish and prtrayed as a constantly drinking and smoking slob. they made fun of chinese several times, homer joins a cult group called the stonecutters i believe. although i am not sure of family guy, i dont watch it that much. but the simpsons are like an animated political cartoon, really. many times they have made fun of religious, political, economic, cultural issues(pay attention to the newspapers, signs, and references to past presidents in there). the writers probably just want to point out the obvious issues in world religion and provide humor trough them.

Wow! Fox is dealing in reality these days huh? And I thought they were just right wing idiots..what's going on, are they making fun of their audience or what? Who knows, they may have a hard time finding funny chrisitan writers so they have to take the spoils.
But then, maybe christianity is just a joke.

Little thing called free speech. You could look it up.
Or you could try writing a cartoon making fun of, say, the theory of evolution, or science in general. But remember, unless it's really funny it won't make prime time. Good luck.

Hollywood in general.
Secular media in general.
We're easy marks and they don't particularly care for our message. That's OK. Our job is to deliver the message - not to convert.
Let them slander all they want. We're to expect it.
Free speech and first amendment and all that.
It's sad that those who don't care to look for the truth themselves may be misled.
You cannot separate fools from their foolishness, even though you grind them like grain with mortar and pestle.

These are cartoons... those, are cartoon characters. And they stereotype EVERYTHING. It's called humor, though obviously not your type of humor.
George Carlin said it best... if you find something on the TV or Radio you do not like, there are 2 knobs on those things. One turns the channel... the other turns it off.
