Regarding people who believe in past lives: why are so many past lives lived in Atlantis?

And why don't people have past lives that were from the other side of the planet and speak a different language?

Maybe ex-Atlanteans are more inclined to remember such an unusual society - if Atlantis ever existed. I'm inclined to think it didn't, as described, but who knows.

My personal opinion as a Reincarnationist is that through our lifetimes we carry along remnants of mythologies we have heard again and again, such as the idea of Atlantis or Camelot, and they seem so real to us when we "re-discover" them in consciousness that we feel it's a part of our own personal history. We can also feel a bond with famous people, such as rulers or other celebrities, for the same reason - we knew about them in past lives, so they have become part of our subconscious memories.

It's the same with religion. The familiarity of religious stories seems to connect to us personally, so we feel a strong rapport with Jesus, for example, not realizing that the connection we sense is partial remembrance of stories we heard in lives past.

Past lives and rebirth are accepted as norms in many Asian countries.
India, Sri LAnka, Thailand to name a few. Many have found that they were born in similar environments.

Buddhist explanation: Ur likes and dislikes that become Karma is built around things and ppl u know and associate with. Therefore the resulting effect to be born in a similar environment.

As far as speaking different languages, this ability quickly dies in most children. Life will be very confusing if one has to deal with problems of many past lives during the present.

Apparently Atlantis was a Scientifically advanced society and ppl who lived there will be born in Scientifically advanced environments.

Because Atlantis is the current "fashionable" trend in New Age mysticism. Everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon and fantasize that they lived in a better, safer, kinder world than we do now.

Some recent archaeological research DOES theorize that Atlantis was situated on "the other side of the world" - near Crete, and even in Antarctica!

I will be as direct as I can be without offending people (I hope). Most people who ACTUALLY lived there during its destruction remember their lives there because of what happened there, and even though I believe I lived there once I can say it is not the only life time I remember. It is just a little more forceful than others, but I think some people just want to build their egos. If I was who I think I was I am not to happy with what I did there, but as friend said to me: You can be a king in one life time and dung beetle in the next. So I do not dwell on things that have come to pass; just what I can learn from them, and what I can do better in this life. You think there are a lot of Atlantiens? The number of King Authors and Merlin's far out weigh the Atlantiens in numbers.

In order to fully address this question, an overview on Atlantis and related is in order.

The idea that many people have had lives in Atlantis is a myth. Many would like to think that they had a life in what they conceive Atlantis to have been like. However, it was not as idealistic as history has painted it.

If one does research into past lives, one finds that most of them were not in Atlantis. Yes, there are past lives of people who spoke languages other than English. Past life research even points to an occasional person who had a former incarnation on another humanoid planet.

I've done some past life research, in part through hypnotherapy - I became a licensed hypnotherapist in 1994 - and partly through psychic research and what Solists refer to as Spiritual Correspondence. None of my close friends had a life in Atlantis.

Atlantean civilization had antigravity wave propulsion systems in their aircraft and atomic weapons capability. The latter is indicated in ancient documents found in India which attest that Atlantis had weapons that could level an entire city. Atlantis was an imperialistic nation and not spiritually-based. They did not try to live in peace and wound up starting a war with a far greater empire that they could not defeat.

Atlantis met its end not from the New Age-Edgar Cayce explanation of the misuse of the energies from a large quartz crystal. That spin stems from people on the Other Side who do not want the truth to be told.

What really happened is that the Atlanteans attempted their own War of Independence against the Zetan-Annunaki - the latter of which used people here like they do today, kidnapping them to be used as laboratory animals and slaves. Currently, the Zetan-Greys are their most visible representatives, as they are the most commonly reported alien by abductees.

The Zetan Empire retaliated with a nuclear holocaust that was so horrific that it not only destroyed Atlantis but also caused worldwide earthquakes, The Great Flood (documented in various ancient cultures), and the tilting of the world on its axis.

The Atlantean experiment failed. What we need now are real God Realized Masters in The Light, not another technocratic society that is not spiritually-based. In an all-out war, The Zetan Empire would slaughter this world (again) with antimatter weapons - the same fate as Atlantis.

Bob Lazar has worked in the top-secret governmental facility known as S4 to reverse engineer confiscated Zetan spacecraft. He has said that the Zetans have antimatter reactors that power their manned ships (and likely also their smaller probes) that are the approximate size of a basketball.

Antimatter weapons are far more destructive than conventional nuclear variations. Something that insiders in the US government and other nations are fully aware of.

I did once read that the most common occuring past life was Mary Queen of Scots.

Its mostly due to the fact that its not real, past life seems to a hypnotic dream people fall into, influenced by whats around them.

I'm sure you could get someones subconcious mind to tell you anything you wanted with the right infuence.

Atlantis was a cool place to come from I guess. Better than being a dung farmer in timbuktu. Sorta like having royalty in your bloodline.

I have often wondered if I may have been Chinese in a previous life, but I don't hyptonize well and past-life regressions are a bit of a bust for me.
