I just saw someone post a question regarding a spell for protection. The xians are jumping in and giving it the whole "pray to jesus. ask God. I don't believe in all that " .
Why do they bother answering the questions in the first place. If they know nothing about spellwork, why answer the question ? Don't they realise it makes them look more ignorant and bigoted ?
They are the first to complain when non believers answer THEIR questions, so why don't they set an example ?
Why do they give irrelevant, non-factual opinions to genuine seekers ?

And what is it with the accusations of satan worship ? Pagans aren't christian, satan is a christian entity, if we don't believe in christianity, how can we believe in a christian entity ?

Acaykath, I don't think you realise this, but you have also just made an inflammatory comment here about god being better than witchcraft. You have done exactly what I am asking about, however well intended.

They do it because they are insecure in their faith and fee they have to defend it all times. Some feel i am sure that they are doing the "right" thing by their faith by sharing about their own. In all comes down to inadequacy, fear, insecurities, and no real faith in the god they profess to believe in.

With God, all things are possible. It may not be an answer that you like, but God can provide the protection much better than witchcraft can.
In answering the question, Christians give others a chance to put their faith in God, rather than relying on the power of evil spirits. In this manner, they are giving the person the chance to be saved, whether the person wants the chance or not. The bible clearly states that if we tell you the truth and you do not accept it, it, the consequences are on your head, but if you are not told the truth, we are at fault for concealing it from you. (1st couple chapters of eziekiel) Jesus told the believers at the end of Matthew in the great commission to spread the gospel, this is one method of doing it. Some of us are more tactful than others about it though.
I'd have no problem with non-believers answering religious questions if they were giving the right answer, but when they just say "You are an idiot there is no such thing as god" they are not being constructive and comments like that are not helpful in any way but purely inflammatory.

Well, fair enough if a person starts to talk about things they don't have enough knowledge about, there's only so much they can comment on with authority.
But I do know that there is God and his angels, and then there is the fallen angel Lucifer and his fallen fellow angels (demons), and spells do draw their power from the latter. There is danger in calling upon a power that is evil, unknown and greater than the person using it. i guess christians mean well when they push running away from spells and pursuing God, since God is loving and the devil has a history of deceiving and lying.
The thing is, power that is from the devil can work to a limited extent, but it comes at a price. It brings about the character of the devil in the person using the power. A person can be healed of an injury in their leg by going to a medium, but because the spirit that is in the power is evil it causes the healed person to live with a sense of fear and unrest. This happened in the case of one woman. One day she went to a church and she could sense that there was a power there that was stronger, but it was also clean. In the end she gave her life to the Lord and she was spiritually freed from her fear.
I think it's just as dangerous when christians choose not to believe in anything supernatural such as spells. After all, the bible is full of the miraculous, the supernatural and it comes in both evil and good. The picture in the bible is that God's power is greater and it is loving, kind, patient, while evil power is real as well, but limited and weaker than God's power and leads to spiritual enslavement, fear and darkness.
One should avoid evil power such as spells or chanelling spirits, etc. Just like Ginny in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, an item of magic whereby the source of it is unknown is a danger, for the item could well be from a source that is more powerful and dangerous than the person.

This is not a religious nor spiritual question. Since when do you care how Christians answer? Try freedom of speech. This not a territorial thing on this section. Get a clue. Witchcraft is demonic and needs pray. Who cares what you believe in. Do you realized you sound like a dork with people in white coats on the standby? You will reap what you sow! Be mature! Grow up! Act like u have morals.

Funny thing is 'praying to Jesus, and asking God' is asking for a spell to be done by God for you. It's all the same stuff, Jesus performed 'miracles' or 'spells' call it what you like, and told the people that they could do the same things that he could. So what if some people have learned to use their sixth sense as Jesus said they could? Pay attention, most people that use their sixth sense wisely, go to the source to achieve results, the 'source' being God to Christians, and something else to others, it doesn't matter who or what you call the source of all, as long as you know it is there.

Well just like you they feel the need to answer the Q in a way that makes the most sense to them and to share their opinion. I am Wiccan and get this every time I ask a Q regarding anything like it. I don't get offended but I don't pay any attention to it either. No they don't know it makes them look ignorant or bigoted.... they think you are the one who is ignorant. The best way to handle it in my opinion is to smile and say thank you. The only reason they say anything at all is because they are upset you are more interesting than they are :)

The only protection from spiritual warfare is to shod your feet with the gospel of peace to gird your loins with truth to put on the breastplate of righteousness and the helmet of salvation and to pick up the sword of the spirit. it doesn't matter who or what you are voodoo hoodoo pagan Santeria or just some stoned hippie praying to his mighty hookah everything else is only inviting trouble the closer you get to God the more of his protection you need these people you call ignorant or bigoted may truly want to help you and others if you play with fire you will get burned. theres to much hate in this world not enough love you can call me what you will i will pray for too.

Well, it seems to me that people from most categories answer any question just to put their two cents in and get their two points. The boundaries are nonexistent really. So don't take it personally. I really don't think anyone cares how they look in here. From what I've seen so far ignorance and insensitivity is the way the game is played.

As a Christian, I can only suppose that they are trying to "save" who ever posed the question, bring them to "light", if you will. I'm sure that they were well intentioned. I myself don't push my faith on others, as Orthodox Christianity doesn't force preaching/teaching on those not really interested, just 'cause it's kind of like trying to catch the wind.
I don't mind when non-believers answer my questions, I simply try to understand their view point and I do my best to give actual-factual answers....
