Its a congregation of fundamentalist christian extremist nutjobs that goes around picketing soldiers' funerals because they're protesting homosexuality (even though the soldiers arent gay).

Doesn't this make you proud to be a christian?

Good old fahsioned Christian moral values at work!

They can defend every single point they make with the Bible (they're actually following it more "to the letter" than most christians). This is more proof of why the Bible shouldn't be taken literally.

Here's a link to their website:

I think believers in Christ know that they sometimes stumble in life. However, they also know that they are forgiven for messing up. Are you living the best you can or is their room for a little more God?

The challenge (& promise from God) is in Moroni 10:3-5.
If you don't have a copy of the book you can read it online at www.lds.org (click on scriptures). If any of you say yes and actually do it - I would be very, very interested in hearing your experience!!! so please email me!!! (A summary of the challenge and promise from God is this) -Basically #1 Prayerfully read the Book of Mormon, with a sincere desire to know if it is true, then after you have done that #2 is to ask God in the name of Jesus Christ if it is true...and #3 the promise is that God Himself will make it known unto you (by the power of the Holy Ghost) that it is true. Please consider - what have you got to lose? (not much)...What have you got to gain? (Incredible blessings beyond description). Please exercise your faith and take this challenge!!!

Here's a little imaginary scenario. Let's say that we go back to when you were an infant. Unfortunately, both of your parents die a few days after you are born. Then a loving atheist family adopts you. They raise you well and treat you just like their own children. You go through life with their teaching, remaining an atheist until you die. And while you were alive, you never did drugs, always obeyed the law, remained abstinant until after you were married, and were, in general, a really good person. My question is, would your God forsake you for this? Do you think that God would send you to hell for being raised not believing in him?

I do not mean any harm or offense by this question, I'm just curious as to how you will respond. I have many self-proclaimed jesus freak, born-again Christian friends.

You MUST change completely to a very different religion. Totally immerse yourself and take in their customs, by abandoning your previous beliefs, marrying within their group, attend all services for the rest of your life. Would you do it?
i.e. Muslim to Jew
Fundamentalist Christian to Atheist
Atheist to Hasidic Jew etc.

There are many many many many very poor people here on Earth who are at the same time very very very religious. Do people really think their prayers will be heard?

Now pay attention, this is important. A miracle is defined as; "# An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God"
So for someone to say that they see a miracle when they look at thier kids or a sunrise or any other platitude doesn't understand what the word actually means. The birth of a child is NOT a miracle. It is biological reproduction. It is not inexplicable.
Get that? Good.
Now with that in mind, can you tell us about something that you've actually seen (no friend of a friend stories) that could not be explained?
I guarantee, if you do, it was either drug related or insanity related. Because you CANNOT break the laws of nature.
But I'm willing to read whatever people want to post here...

In Matthew 12:31 there is a warning about blasphemy against the Spirit. I know it means the Holy Spirit and I know the meaning of blasphemy. But, when I put to 2 together I get some questions...How do I know that I have not sined in this way. And for God not to forgive this one sin makes me think that there is/was something outside of God that was in existence before the world was created... because the Bible says that ALL things were created by Him, through Him, and for Him... Him being Jesus, who I undersatnd to be "one with the father"... But it also says that all things that are made were made by God... If the Bible is true, than for there to be a Devil or sin, now, it MUST have either been a part of God or the Bible is wrong and something must have been there with God that contained this cosmic sickness-sin. Please help!
