What was the last act of total kindness, generosity and compassion that you practiced, and how long ago was it? I'm looking for acts that have no direct "payoff" to you (like making a donation because it's a tax writeoff doesn't count). Something that you're doing for no reward other than the goodness inherent in the act itself.

may be some 1 can explain me how come we have different translations in english of the same bible. WHile some will start screaming look at the love msg from GOD and ignore what is not important i am still curious how come the truth even in the same language have many variations ( not talking about interpretation yet).
Example:
NIV bible ( english, most of europe) infamous Paul saying
Corinthians 7 (NIV): "It is good for man not to marry
King James ( another english version, most popular in US only)
Corinthians 7
7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman

ONe saying not to touch a woman, other saying not to marry.
I guess even fundamentalist won't be able to say its exactly the same.

Now the question is not which msg is right or wrong, the big Q is why in the same language we have different translations. THere are much more different translations from those english bible. Does it worry that some how ppl gets wrong msg?

Every Holocaust we know of has a European hand, the destruction of the natural world—European hand. Almost every conflict from Rwanda to Sudan to Palestine is European fingerprinted. But I don’t think this means “white” people are evil or a devil race. It is Eurocentric ideology and "white" supremacy that is the problem. Many European people sit in their homes and cause no trouble to nobody. But there was a group that went out and really messed everything up. And they messed each other up too.
So it isn’t "white" people because having "white" skin or being European can’t make you bad. But having a racist mentality can. And the blood is on their hands and the profit is in their possession. Hence I think the world needs to address the bloody spoils of war and reparation in political terms is the solution.

My problem with European leadership is that they haven’t stopped what they started 500 Years ago. This is teh problem.

my girlfriend and i are catholic and want to get our (illigitamate) son baptised and the church is trying to charge us to join. i think it's kind of weak but i can understand they MIGHT need the money. i'm not very religous and i would rather something non denominational, who can baptize?

That Jesus never said he will return to the world. He spoke about the Holy Spirit who he will send from the father with a specific mission which is to prove to the world they are wrong about sin, righteousness and judgement. This is the significance behind the trinity. John saw in the book of Revelation one "like the Son of Man". This is the person that is described in Revelation 12 who after overcoming recieves the new name of Jesus because they are one in spirit as Jesus is one with God. It is a shame that people are waiting for the return of a man named Jesus when it will never happen.
