The bible is called the "King James Version", didn't he add to and take away from the bible to make it suit his own needs. Then how can you believe "Everything" in the bible to be true?

There are so many versions it's hard I know, you just have to believe in what feels right to you. I was recently given the king James version by my pastor and I really don't like it as well, as far as everything being true in the bible? I'm not that closed minded to think that every piece that has been decoded to be true

The Kings James Version wasn't written by only one man. It was Translated from Greek to the language used in the Kings James Version. The translation was done by many scholars ( as are most of the other translations such as the N.I.V.)so that an accurate as possible translation could be made.
Also for those who read "contradictions" in what the Bible says, that is usually because they pick out and read only one passage or verse. If the context on the ENTIRE chapter were read most of the "contradictions" could be proven to be NOT contradictions. But many people tend to pick and choose only the parts they want to portray.
Also, some verses are interpreted differently by many people. If you don't read and understand ALL of it, it's hard to understand any of it and mistakes can be made.
As for your question.....Yes I believe the word of God to be true, unchanging and eternal.

Of course not.

There is no such thing as "The Bible", since every Church and denomination has their own version. The Bible is the most edited and changed book in the world. And the "King James Version" is the one used by the Church of England and other Anglican faith communities.
And when studying and analysing the various versions of the Bible, it becomes quite clear that most of the stories are fiction and that there is a heavy emphasis on indoctrination.

The KJV Bible is the true word of God, from the beginning to the end. There are no lost books in this Bible. Jesus is the living word, and the Bible is the written word, and i believe them both.

I belive that the over all message of the Bible is what really matters. Even if something have been change and altered it dose not take away for the Bible as a whole.

Yes. ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God. 2 Timothy 3:16. The KJV is one version of the bible. Read the diligent task undertaken by the committe appointed by the king to provide a direct understandable translation that left nothing out and proceeded by the grace of God. Also, 2 Timothy 2:15 says to study to show yourself approved; a workman (or woman) that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. That "dividing" gives great application and understanding. Understand God's true nature and you will understand what FAITH is...without it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6). Questioning eternal truths is a LACK of faith. Please be careful.

Yes, the Bible is the inspired Word of God. In 2 Timothy 3 v 16, it says "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

Some say to me 'prove to me that the Bible is true'! I say to them 'Prove it for yourself'! It so happens that the central verse in the Authorised Version of the Bible, first published in 1611, is a perfect precis of its message: 'It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.' Millions of people have tested this statement and found it to be true! You now have the opportunity to do the same.

Come to the Bible as open-mindededly as you possibly can, asking God to make its message clear and personal and to give you the grace to respond as you should. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. God says, 'You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart' - and He has yet to break a single promise.

There is history in the Bible, and so far, it has been shown to be accurate.
There is poetry. There are parables. There is prophecy.
I guess "truth" is relative...do I believe God created the cosmos? Yes, Ma'am, I do. Do I believe He did it in six terran diurnal units (days)? No, Ma'am, I do not. Do I believe God created men and women...yes. Adam and Eve...no. Do I believe in the fall of mankind? Yes. Eve ate some fruit and thus doomed all of mankind forever? No.
I hope this helps.

I don't read from the KJV. I read from the NIV (New International Version) which was translated directly from the ancient Greek to modern day language. I don't trust the 2 or 3 translations that KJV went through.
